Why isn't my phone giving sound?

why isnt my phone giving sound

i dropped my phone in water and i put it on and everything is working perfectly fine, the only problem i got is that my sound isnt working, when someone phone me you can hear the ring tone perfectly fine and then when i answer i cant hear the person and that person cant hear me, i was also taking pictures on my phone after it fell in water and half the pictures are not there, please tell me what i can do so it can work normally again?

You might try putting the phone in a bowl of rice for some hours because rice absorbs water. If you're lucky the phone will be less damaged.
