why my google assistant invite me to strange discord server?

One day my google assistant just decided to learn Latin so they invited me to Discord of r/latin. (Reddit) I asked this question to many places but all they said is that people who you add as friends on discord can invite you to any server they wanted.

the problem is I downloaded the app then left it there "I didn't even log in to my discord account" (precisely because I forgot my password and don't have the energy to go through the procedure yet.) so that answer isn't related.

I almost forgot about the app then boom! one day there appeared a window inviting me to a Discord server named "Latin something"

I asked people on discord and they said that it's because Google assistant decided to learn Latin and there are many people just as confused as me also end up there.

still why? can anyone explain this other way than Google assistant getting sentient or there are some hacker who want people to learn Latin.

It's even more scary to me because lately people know too much about my life. (even though I'm setting my facebook as private as possible and not update anything for years) I usually took it as " a flood of coincidence." however the moment my phone invited me to that Latin thing I lost it, because I just started study latin on my iPad week ago. I didn't know if I'm just to paranoid or It's just data science freaky trick (and I'm in Data science/Computer science so I know about those trick) still, It challenged my morals and interaction with Data so much.

Was this a Discord notification? If so, then it has nothing to do with Google Assistant -- it is more likely Discord itself.

Have you actually tried opening your Discord app? It might already be logged into your account, especially if you had Discord or Google remember your account name and password.

I tried open it and there isn't any account logged it. To be precise the link appeared during I'm scrolling messenger (there is no link in that messenger too and most of my friend won't talk about Latin 110%) and appear through Google chrome. My google account doesn't remember any password since I'm very concern about my digital footprint that I didn't let anything remember thing for me.

What do you mean that the link appeared "during I'm scrolling messenger"? Do you mean it was a text message that was sent to you on Google Messages or Facebook Messenger?

Have you ever logged into Discord on your mobile browser? Remember also that browsers (like Chrome) can also send you notifications from websites.

- I'm chatting to a friend then the window popup over, and move me to chrome screen without any hint or interaction
Have you ever logged into Discord on your mobile browser? Remember also that browsers (like Chrome) can also send you notifications from websites.
- I never do that and Google Chrome isn't my preferred browser until last week, before that I always more a Opera/firefox person.
(I mean on my other devices. My Andoird phone is the only place I can use chrome without concerning about performance issues)

- I think I can tried asked people on that Discord to get the screenshot, however the screen itself isn't strange it's typical discord invitation page.

It'd be important to know if this was an actual notification (i.e., appearing in the notification bar or notification panel) or if this was a browser popup. The latter would be more likely to be due to some kind of adware, which could be related to an app you installed (not necessarily Discord). The way you describe it as a "window" that pops up over everything else makes it sound like a browser popup.

update : just found a screnshot that "join discord latin server" is one of google assistant thing
also : just checked in "google > my activity > filter by product"
it's really google assassin!

That activity means that Google Assistant heard you (or someone) say "Join server Latin on Discord." This would've been after saying "Hey Google," although sometimes Google Assistant may mishear things. It's possible that you said something that sounds like "Join server Latin on Discord," and that's what Assistant tried to process.

Hey up to you but I restrict assistant with everything,Just see what it does. If you don't really need or use it why not.
