Why update?

There seems to be a ton of bugs in the new froyo update. I have rooted rom with CM6 RC1 and I have no problems - no need for pdanet built in works. 30fps unlocked. Not nearly as bloated or laggy from sense.

Just... does not make sense to me (no pun intended). Why upgrade? Seems like a major downgrade to me.

Werx, What program did you use to unlock the 30fps? if any? currently rooted Evo3, not yet updated to Froyo, if I can avoid it until the new-root install works, but would love the add-ons until then.

Flash? JIT compiler? Who knows....maybe you shouldn't. I'd guess the best thing for someone like you would be to hold off until a new root comes out. If you're happy, wait it out and see what happens.

If your current setup is faster than the latest stock, then don't upgrade. Eventually the CM roots will include froyo 2.2 without any of the missing features, ie 4G. So wait it out.

At this point, I'm with you. I see no compelling reason to upgrade until all the kinks are worked out. Like the doctors crede goes, "first, do no harm". I see no reason to take a phone where everything works perfectly and mess it up, even in the slightest. DC 3.2.3 for me, at least until something functioning perfectly comes along.

You don't want to upgrade then no one is twisting your arm. I haven't had any issues with the upgrade and I don't see that those that waited for the official upgrade have had many issues. Almost all the issues are for people who had tweaked their phone or used the leaked version.

My update works great haven't had a single issue. Can finally jam music off MySpace plus wifi seems to work a lot better for me. Loving the new update

no problems at all with my 2.2...i benchmarked a 585 with 2.1 and a 1245 with 2.2...loving it

Not everybody wants to root their phone. This upgrade is their only way to get the froyoness. CM6 is pretty kickass though.

What are these tons of bugs you speak of? I've had no issues so far. How did you get the 30fps unlocked?

Are you guys idiotic? I'm asking YOU guys why YOU are updating yet you turn this around and make it into an attitude fest. Half of you guys don't even know how to unlock 30FPS and some don't even know CM6 has flash + jit because it is 2.2. Xda forums > android central forums.

I've seen other posts from you and every time someone says something you don't like or disagree with you jump down their throat and start calling people idiots. He's a passive aggressive jerk, and can't stand it when people call him on it.

We get it... you rooted and hacked and feel very pleased with yourself. You get stuff for free that others pay for. We are just stupid to stay with a stock phone with stock updates because a few people have reported minor difficulties. Then again, we are not as smart as you, so we probably can't figure out what you've managed to do anyway.

Does that cover it, or is there some other joy you feel the need to contribute?
