Why my Samsung Galaxy Note 1 won't work with my selfie stick built-in bluetooth

OS Android 4.1.2. I paired the selfie stick with my smartphone but when I press the button it doesn't take any photos. In the description says that is suitable for OS android 3 or above.

Welcome to Android Central! The Camera usually has to be set to have the Volume button act as a shutter release--open your Camera app, tap Settings, and look for that option.
