Why wont my samsung galaxy tab 3 automatically connect to the wifi?

please help! my tablet used to automatically connect to the wifi it had no problem whatsoever i would come home and it would connect, i would go to a friends house and it would connect but now every time i turn on my tablet it asks for my wifi password every time. Even if it just disconnects by accident and connects again it ask for my wifi password like it has amnesia. It is very annoying when it keeps asking me how do i get to automatically connect again?
