Why won't my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 turn off?

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 won't turn off

My Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is currently powered on and working, but I cannot power it off. The power button feels like it is working, but nothing is happening. Any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! So if you press the power button briefly, the screen doesn't go to sleep? Or if you press and hold the power button for about 2 seconds, you don't get a power off menu? How about pressing and holding for about 15-20 seconds? That usually forces a power off on any Android device. If that doesn't work, then the button probably has become faulty.
