Why would pics in text come in corrupted looking?

Recently any time my dad sends me or anyone a text with images, the images come out all corrupted looking on my end.

He's using an LG G3. Any ideas why this would be happening?

If it's you or anyone sounds like the problem is him. Maybe a hardware issue with the camera?
