My Razr connects very quickly to my wifi at home and works speedily but with 30 seconds - 2 minutes all data transfer stops. I still have a signal and the bars are blue but I receive a failure to load and can't get any data to work until I cycle wifi on off or go back to the network. Any ideas on a router setting or something I can do to fix this? Every other device I have connected works flawlessly.

What are your wifi settings?

Channel

Encryption type

Connection type "b,g,n?"

Router brand

Could be that the Razr does not like the encryption type and might need another to play nice. Or it might not like the channel your on or it might not like running in a g/n mixed mode nd prefer either G or a N. I know some devices i had issues useing the g/n upto 300mbs setting on my router and had to use the b/g upto 150mbs or either b or g to work.

I have had a similar problem were Razr shows being connected to Home Network WiFi Gateway through WEP & accepts Network password; but phone screen wi-fi indicator shows, but is darkend. My phone does not show on my 2-Wire Gateway as a device. I have spoken to Verizon & Motorola; neither Tech's can't understand why. My Razr does not have any problem connecting to any unsecured wi-fi hot spots anywhere; only on my home network. It has to be a software issue with Gingerbread 2.3.5

Unrelated probably, but I wouldn't use WEP as its far to easy to hack into. Its all about WPA2 now a days.

Also, what kind of routers are being used? It could be a router conflict. At the very least, update the routers firmware if needed.

I switched my Wi-Fi Security on Home Network to WPA-PSK & WPA2-PSK. Reset WiFi Network on Droid-Razr. Now the Droid-Razr connects & disconnects constantly. Why is there no support for this? What are the proper settings for the Droid-Razr to accept?

Solved the problem...On Wireless settings for Home Network, if using WEP-Open the modem encryption key has to be used instead of the Network Password. If using WPA2-PSK, the Custom Pass Phrase Key must be used when setting up the wireless connection to the Razr.
