Widgets broken after update?

I finally allowed the Oreo update to my V20. Not that I wanted it, but needed to for troubleshooting reasons. Now my Digi Clock and Weather Bug widgets are frozen and don't update (not sure yet if the My Verizon one is also affected). Anyone else experience frozen widgets after Oreo? I did some looking around and this seems a common issue on Android in general, but I haven't been able to fix it. I did run across one article saying Google is basically abandoning widgets, which would suck big time.

Is it just the 2 widget or more ?
Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?

Those are the only two that actively update, (and the questionable Verizon). I've tried checking battery optimizations, safe mode, reloading them, and manually activating the related apps.

Try delete then reinstall them the 2 widget

Figured it out. It's my launcher. Reverted back to the stock launcher and they work. Now I need to hunt down something current I guess.
