Wifi download speeds vary...when downloading from play store

Sometimes when I download an app from the market my speeds are 4-5 MB/sec. Lately they've been .33/MB/sec. Anyone know why they would vary so drastically?

Do any of your other devices or computers at home have fluctuating internet speeds on other sites? If not, then it might be an issue on the Google server side. There have been a number of major Google app updates recently that are no doubt being downloaded by thousands of people at a time, so maybe there have been intermittent slowdowns.
