Wifi is "saved, secured" but won't connect no matter what

Hi, I've suffering a same problem for a month and I've tried to fix it., because I don't want to set it back to factory if I don't need to.

I used KINGZONE N3 PLUS not even 1 year old and I never drop it.
I had read and tried from many suggestion from many forum.
I tried restarted router, restarted my phone it's connected but it's disconected again when I go to WiFi setting sometimes my WiFi name disappear and come back with " saved " again over and over.

Earlier today it happen every 2-5 minutes, right now WiFi seems to conected longer about 1 hour so far.

I don't know what I do is right or wrong if anybody have the right way to suggest feel free and thank you.

This suggestion from me.... I hope it's work for your phone.
Here what I've done.
- I make sure IP address number from router and my phone is the same.
- Uninstall the last apps and cleared all cache.
- I installed internet booster.
- I go trough my WiFi setting, and 1 thing I change is " hotsport & tethering setting which is from IPv4 to IPv4 & IPv6
I go to.. Setting > More > Tethering & portable hotspot >
What you'll see is WiFi hotsport : off
Then change from IPv4 to IPv4 & IPv6
Hope it work.

My 4 week old S6 Blade (ZTE) has been connected to my BT Hub and still is, works great !

But if I try to connect to any other Router (Pubs, Sky (My Mothers Sky Router) all I get after putting my key in (at Mums) is Connected,
then instantly Saved and no connection....

Still fine in the house as I type, whats happening ?

I have an LG G3 that has connected to my router for years without issues until now. I tried everything. The only fix was to assign it a static IP from my router. Good luck guys.

Thanks! this problem had been annoying me for weeks! I dont have a Galaxy but it could just be a problem with androids. Sounds so simple cant believe i never thought of this lol.

Hi!
This problem probably happens because the phone can't effectively connect with the network. A solution I found to be useful was to manually set the connection. Long press on the connected wifi network->Modify settings-> Set the IP settings to Static->Scroll down and enter the IP address, gateway number, DNS 1 and DNS 2. Leave Network Prefix Length unchanged. The system itself assigns an ip address, leave that also unchanged. The gateway number, you will have to find. If using a programme like connectify through a laptop/desktop, use 'ipconfig' in command prompt to find out the 'IP V4 address' in the Wireless LAN section. The DNS numbers will depend on the particular Internet service provider. After all this, Save those settings and you must be good to go!
Note: Sometimes, 'Save' gets greyed out till you re-enter the ip-address. Note that default address and re enter it if that happens.

Thanks. All it needed was a simple reboot. Problem solved.
I use nexus ROM kitkat 4.4.3 on Micromax a110q FYI.

Here is what fixed it on my Android/Cyanogen machine. It is related to Google Locations:
On the main screen, swipe down to select the Gear icon (Settings)
Select Wifi and make sure it is On
Select the 3 vertical dots on top right
Select Advanced
Turn OFF "Scanning Always Available"

This should resolve the problem

Well! I thought so too. I have never laid my hands on anything other than Apple products so far. I have two MacBook Air 11”, one PowerBook G4 Titanium, One iPad Mini WiFi only, one iPad mini Retina WiFi + Cellular, one iMac, Two iPhones 5s all connected to a Home Network using a Prolink WiFi Router Modem and an Apple Airport Extreme.

I did try trust using a Windows PC years ago but it was confusing me more than helped.
Two days ago I walked into Mobile phone Service Providers’ shop. I bought a Samsung Galaxy Ace Nxt2 on an intuition. Brought it home and trying to set it up I found things were quite different to setting up an Apple device.

This was no Plug & Play. After sometime I finally came to setting up the WiFi. At first no matter what I did, it was not getting connected thought it said Saved and Secured. I spent hours trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. After two long days I found out how to get connected and that was so easy. My patience paid off.

Here’s how to all those who are struggling.
1. Go to Settings tap on WiFi. See that its ON
2. Tap on the your Network that says Saved & Secured
3. There two options under Password
1. Show password
2. Show advanced options
3. Click on Show advanced options
4. Set the following:
5. Proxy: None
6. IP Settings: DHCP change to Static
7. (Give your devices’ IP address on your Network
8. For e.g. : 192.168.1.110
9. Gateway: Your Router IP address e.g. 192.168.1.1
10. Network prefix length 24 (let it be)
11. DNS1: 192.168.1.1 Same as your router IP address
12. DNS2: Will be the IP address given by Service Provider
13. Put in your Password and click: Done
14. Now go to your browser and Bingo you are connected
15. Your Network will now only say: Secured
If it does not work let me know what you did and I may be able to help.

I reduced the security on my router to WPA and it seems to be working. Fingers crossed it will continue to.

Hi,
My special thanks to Rajpriya for giving this brilliant advice. It worked & am totally relieved.
I have been facing this problem on all the android devices at home ( LG, Nokia & InFocus cellphones + a tablet) for the past 20 days. While my laptops connect to the Wifi, none of those cellphones were connecting to Wifi. Two different tech support teams from my ISP visited my home but they had no clue how to sort out the problem !!
Upon googling, I chanced upon the CONNECTIFY website and have installed their free download and set up a hotspot in my laptop. Bingo ! All our cellphones were connecting to that hotspot without a hitch ( although that was ultimately from the same wifi router to which these cellphones would not connect directly). However, I have to leave the laptop on for long hours to enjoy the WiFi hotspot.

Today, I chanced upon Rajpriya's suggestion & set the DHCP to static on my cellphone.I left DNS1 as 8.8.8.8 which I understand is a safe default option given by google. Lo ! my cellphone instantly connected to my main WiFi router. So the problem which was nagging all of us at home for over 20 days is finally resolved. Rajpriya - thank you very much !!

I was having a similar problem with my Samsung Galaxy Core Prime over this last week. It had worked fine for 3 weeks but, from then on, each time the phone scanned for a connection, it would either come up with 'Out of Range' or else 'Saved/Secured' with signal showing as 'Very Strong' and there was no WiFi connection.

I have been tearing my hair out over this last week until last night when I noticed that the phone WiFi connection was now saying 'Connected' and working perfectly. The phone's WiFi connection had worked briefly the previous night and I knew at once what the common factor was: in both cases, my TV set and its ancillary equipment had been switched off.

By a process of elimination, I discovered that a transmitter I bought over 10 years ago which I use to beam the signal from my main TV set to a set in another room was interfering with my WiFi signal. To be able to continue to use this transmitter, I have been able to switch its broadcasting channel to another frequency (4 are available) and all is now well with the TV and the phone.

I still can't explain why it suddenly started acting in this way.

nice but my galaxy s5 will not connect to my school wifi. it says "no data recieved" so..... what do i do about that:'(

Hi, so glad I found this forum, I have s5 suddenly my wifi device won't connect to my phone, works fine on iPad and I can connect wifi in work to my phone. My Hussein mobile wifi keeps asking me for password and won't connect though. I have restarted took battery out etc but no joy. I have also tried to show advanced options but if I change anything I it won't save changes. At a loss now, any help much apreciated

I just fixed the problem where my S5 stop connecting to all wifi. It was because I had an app that was messing with it. I started uninstalling apps and I guess I got rid of the one that was causing the problems and now it connects. Keep your phone clean of worthless applications!

I had a similar issue, where new networks weren't even visible. FWIW, I'm also an IT admin and we use Sonicwall and Fortigate, with D-LINK DAP2553's and Sonicwall AP's. It drove me nuts for the longest time, until I realized that I had removed permissions from a few apps I shouldn't have. I had downloaded App Ops and forgotten what I had done - and what the apparent impact was. I reset all permissions on all apps back to factory settings - and had no more issues with WiFi after that. It sounds to me like you may have similar issues going on...
Plz gyuz help mee.. what i do??

Wow! Man I had the very same issue, my wife's new Lenovo K4 Note stopped connecting to a specific Router.
Tried everything nothing worked! Until I checked your solution of Enabling the location. Once done it was able to save the connection and then I was even able to disable the location and it still worked! I think it is a bug in Android 5.1
