WiFi issue?

Testing at home, same spot on 5ghz connection about 20/25 feet from the router
S7 Edge: 19ms ping 102 mbps down 16 mbps up
G6: 57ms ping 62 mbps down 10mbps up

I've done the test numerous times and the results stay about the same with my new G6 significantly slower by the numbers then my S7 edge.
I've reset my wireless router and modem without improving the test results on the G6, although my S7 edge and wife's iphone 7+ all run in a similar faster range

Any thoughts?

I had an issue on my Mate 9 like this and had to change the 5GHZ channel to 36 which reduces range but increased speeds. Before on channel 146 I was limited to around 50mbps, after changing I was back to 90mbps. Try changing channels, the device may not like the one you're using. My iPhone isnt picky but so far a few androids have been.

I have only done one test on mine so far -- I hit around 300 down / 200 up which is about right for my 5 GHz network. I will do some more testing later to see.

I had an issue on my Mate 9 like this and had to change the 5GHZ channel to 36 which reduces range but increased speeds. Before on channel 146 I was limited to around 50mbps, after changing I was back to 90mbps. Try changing channels, the device may not like the one you're using. My iPhone isnt picky but so far a few androids have been.

Wow I am jealous, the best package I can get around here where I live is 100 down and 15 up.
I've never had any issues before but my new G6 is definitely slower then the other phones in the house

Yeah AT&T put fiber in the neighborhood so I get 1,000 Mbps up & down .

My provider said we are 5 to 7 years away from getting fiber :'(
