Will my new EVO do this: orange blink for new mail, green for new text msg?

Must be something here in Paradise preventing it from working. It passed the "test," but when tried with a real live email, no flashing.

Read the download page

Read the download page that you got the file from. SMS only for now, the rest is in the works. Also you must go into settings and disable SMS notifications or both will be blinking when you get a message.

When I downloaded it said could not open file. Am doing something wrong

Did you download to your EVO ? I emailed the apk to my EVO, and installed without a problem. As someone has already posted, this currently only works with SMS/MMS. But it does work, its just weird getting used to seeing that other led in the corner, lol..

I can not get this to work for me and it's driving me crazy. I've downloaded Astro, but I'm stuck. I tried to search, but my search mojo isn't working. Is there a kind soul who will help out this Android rookie? Even a link to a FAQ would be helpful. TIA!

After you download astro go to your download folder, with web browser open. Menu-more-downloads you should see the wimax apk click on it then it should ask what you want to use select astro. I think that's how I did it yesterday

Nope, that didn't work either. So, I went over to the XDA Forums and finally found the reason why. This app requires 2.2! I haven't upgraded yet as I don't want to lose my free 4G Hotspot.
