Will this kind of car mount break the S8+ glass?

Anyone using car mount? Will car mount clamps like the image above crack the phone glass of the S8+ sides? Tight tension spring inside the mount is stretched to clamp the phone.

What kind of car mount is suitable for S8+?

This type of mount will not break the glass. It would make no sense for a company to make something that would harm a person's phone. Most of these types of mounts have either a spring clip to hold the phone or you adjust it by hand. It will be safe for your phone, only worry would be it falling off your dash if it is a textured dashboard.

If you were going to keep the phone in vertical mode get a mount that has a bottom seat that way it's not just the clamp that is holding the phone up.

This is what I use and I love it. It has the tight clamp spring also and it does not hurt the phone. You can also use this Mount with a case on, they say even a Otterbox defender, I don't use a defender, but it works with the symmetry or UAG plasma and there's room for bigger.

Don't let the S5 labeling bother you, the Mount will work fine, but the included cables for charging and stuff won't work on the S8 series. Can't go wrong with this Mount, your phone isn't going anywhere while in this Mount and I personally have yet seen the suction fail.

I've used a similar car mount for the last few years with a number of phones including the S8+. No problems at all.

Looks like it should be safe enough.
I cracked the back of S7 with a tight case by pushing on it near camera hole. Never did like glass phones, but I have to admit the S8 is a beautiful device!

I have an IOttie brand one that I use often. On mine the sides auto clamp - there's a button on the back so when the phone is set in, the arms clamp. Can also extend the feet on the bottom as needed.

Any idea if iOttie Easy One Touch 1, 2 or 3 is better?

At 1:00min to 1:16min of this video shows that every time you put the phone into it the 2 clamps will slam together towards the phone to clamp the phone with great force, would it damage the phone or crack it?
