Will you keep or return/sell your G4?

Will you be keeping your G4 or returning/selling it?

That is crazy. I really am curious as to what happened overnight that would have caused things to go haywire. Have you tried pulling the battery and letting the phone sit for 10-20 minutes??

Nope I need the phone on all day today... Had storm damage on the house and waiting on call backs from contractors.. insurance company and such..

It's just a really crappy time to start having phone issues.... Trying to keep a positive attitude about it.... But damnnnnnnn it's really aggravating

I will be keeping it. I am actually really enjoying the phone -- Not saying I didn't like my S6 but before my S6 I was in the phablet area a lot .. So I believe I was missing that since I watch a good amount of media via my phone screen.

I was the same had the Note 3 & Note 4 but then went back down to the 5" with the M8 and M9 liked that alot.

But now to have the G4 and like the G3 before it Lg has the large display to comfort in hand ratio sorted 😀 that i very much value & like alot.

G4 wont be going anywhere anytime soon or hmm we shall see what these plusses are about 😜

Try to retrace your steps and remember what you did and/or installed on your device if you can. Let us know what you were doing so we can trouble shoot the possible issues. I know it can be aggravating but don't give up! You know we're here to help! :)

I'll be keeping mine. Absolutely love it so far. This is the first phone in quite some time that hasn't bored me. I can see myself sticking with the G4 for a long time. That said, I still have my S6 waiting in the wings in case I need to scratch that itch.

Ya know whats worse than phone issues? Dealing with the contractors who are supposed to fix your house after storm damage lol. I just finished with that last month after a November storm, yup, took them 6 months.

Anyways, hopefully the phone issues get resolved!!! Have you tried exchanging already?

Yeah my only complaint is no Quick Charge... And as I have told the guys -- If that truly is my only gripe then I am doing well since that is a minor one :).

For me, I think the honeymoon period is over and I really want to return it. I already have a S6 Edge and Nexus 6 so this is a bit of overkill. The camera to me isn't the best (it's slow compared to S6 and iPhone).

I bought this in store so I'm not looking forward to the walk of shame as I enter the building carrying my device knowing I will return it. They always give me this look of sadness and say "ohhh what happened???" They make me feel guilty because I'm returning it even though I pay a restocking fee. I probably feel weird because I've returned another 2 devices recently.

Thanks... I appreciate it.

I've done nothing different...except to try the auto screen brightness last night. I quickly turned it back to manual after seeing just how bad it really is.... So I can understand why folks are complaining about it.

Here's a real kick in the pants... Do you guys remember back to Apples "antenna gate"?

Well I got it on mine... I am not kidding about this... If I put my finger perpendicular across the very top of the phone, not only do I lose 1 bar on cellular but also 1 bar on my WiFi signal... And I am 5 feet from my router...

I think something is going very wrong with the phone...

I have never really bought into the wireless charging (how hard is it to plug in a cable?)

That was until my S6E and i bought the wireless charger as a package.

So my opinions have changed and its great just to place it on charge on my bedside table/unit.

Then there is coffee shops (Starbucks) and more that will adopt this wireless charging so if you in for a coffee & lunch well you can grab some electricity to 😜

But the fact that the G4 doesn't have it out of the box is as you said a minor gripe and if that is the only one and the others are just trivial then yup.

The G4 is a win 😀

If you can replace do so, and if the second unit doesn't fair better then consider your options from there.

We all seen how happy you were "Don't give up" just yet 😜

Now that the phone has been out a few weeks, just curious if everyone is keeping or returning / selling (if you are past your return window)?

And why are you keeping or returning / selling? And what phone will you be going to if you are returning / selling?

I returned my G4 on Saturday. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved the phone. The camera was on-par with the Samsung Galaxy S6's camera. The screen was amazing. The battery life was above-average. The only problem I had with the phone (which was minor), was the double-tap-to-wake function didn't work very well. I would have kept the phone if the Galaxy S6 active didn't come out. The S6 active fits my lifestyle much better. I work outside 10 hours a day as an archaeologist and I love the peace of mind that if I took my phone out in a downpour, it won't die.

How long did you have it before you returned it? Did you return in store or ?

Oh no I am more sad about the Quick Charging. I did have wireless charging on my S6 and it was very convenient for home. I just laid my phone down and it would charge -- I could then just pick it up and walk around freely without unplugging. Hard? No just another small convenience :).
