Will you be keeping your G4 or returning/selling it?

You were so anti Samsung! I saw your posts in the S6 threads while I lurked. What happened?!?! lol

I was anti-S6. The battery in that phone left a lot to be desired. You can't beat the 3500 mAh battery in the S6 active, unless you have a Droid Turbo, of course.

If you can replace do so, and if the second unit doesn't fair better then consider your options from there.

We all seen how happy you were "Don't give up" just yet 😜

I know... It's unfortunate but I think I will have to visit the AT&T store and go through the process of replacing it. I will try a factory reset this evening and see if anything changes...

I returned my G4 on Saturday. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved the phone. The camera was on-par with the Samsung Galaxy S6's camera. The screen was amazing. The battery life was above-average. The only problem I had with the phone (which was minor), was the double-tap-to-wake function didn't work very well. I would have kept the phone if the Galaxy S6 active didn't come out. The S6 active fits my lifestyle much better. I work outside 10 hours a day as an archaeologist and I love the peace of mind that if I took my phone out in a downpour, it won't die.

Awesome career choice!

It does sound like a rugged device is needed indeed!

I'm keeping it .
I will use it as well as my Vzw Nexus 6.
Since its on At&t will use to also test signal strenght compaired with the N6 since they are on different carriers.
Since this is the first time I have had an smartphone on a carrier besides Vzw. :)

For me, I think the honeymoon period is over and I really want to return it. I already have a S6 Edge and Nexus 6 so this is a bit of overkill. The camera to me isn't the best (it's slow compared to S6 and iPhone).

I bought this in store so I'm not looking forward to the walk of shame as I enter the building carrying my device knowing I will return it. They always give me this look of sadness and say "ohhh what happened???" They make me feel guilty because I'm returning it even though I pay a restocking fee. I probably feel weird because I've returned another 2 devices recently.

Who cares, it's your money. It's a billion dollar corporation that most likely doesn't feel any remorse for customers that it screws over.

Yeah I know, it's just the snide little comments that the employees make. I'm too sensitive.:'(

I'm enjoying mine and will keep this one until the next big thing is released.

I was lucky enough to win this from Mobile Nations so I will be keeping this for a long time.

I'm keeping it. There's a few quirks, but it's stuff I can live with. Anyways I have the original JUMP plan with T-Mobile. I'll be able to upgrade again in a few months.

Keeping it.

They gave me a free SD card 64GB and a battery kit. As much as I like the S6 (the only flagship worthy to compete with the G4 as of now), I cannot go back to 32GB with non removable battery, and no expansion memory (Samsung only sell the 32GB option in where I live).

With the G4 and the battery kit, my G4 never plugs to a power outlet. If I was on the road or travelling, I just plug the battery kit to a power bank and put it on my bag. I am never running out of battery with this phone.

So, I'm definitely keeping it.

Gotta say I'm gonna miss you if you leave these parts of the forums, man. Hopefully you enjoy your other devices and are happier :-)

That's the thing, I'm really torn! I like it but do I like it enough to get rid of my S6 or Nexus?

Plus everyone here is much nicer than some other forums lol

Haha. Well, it's an easier decision for me. I only have one device at a time. I held onto the Nexus 5 since launch day and almost moved to the G3, but held off. When the G4 was released, I couldn't pass it up. I had been leaning towards this way anyway. Plus, the Nexus 6 was too big for me. So, here I am.

The only thing I regret is not saving up for the international version, instead of my first carrier phone in 23498 years messing with my device in all the wrong ways.

And yes, we are pretty chill here in the G4 forums!

I'll be back. Maybe for G5, but G6 for sure, just because of the plane. Just so I can say I own a G6! :D

Not really. It's a pretty crappy career. It's the only career where you need a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree to be a laborer. I'm going back to graduate school in the fall to be a teacher. There's no ticks, mosquitoes, hot weather, crappy pay, or rain to deal with in that profession.

Nights, weekends and holidays off!

I really wanted to love this phone. And I did for the first 24 hours. It ticks all the important checkboxes for me. But the reality of actual day-to-day use is something different. The main issues for me:

- Weak WIFI. Lose connections at points in the house where other phones do not.
- Odd behaviour with swiping on screen. At random, instead of scrolling, an item will be selected. Annoying.
- Screen brightness. Not good outside. iPhone and S6 are much better.
- Camera images are over-sharpened. Camera is slow to start compared to iPhone 6 and S6.
- Random lagginesss, with and without an SD card installed.

Tried two G4s, both had the issues described above. I could try a third, but I doubt there would be any difference.

Very disappointed in LG and the G4. Hoping the Note 5 comes a lot sooner than expected.
