You've read our Verizon Droid Incredible review. You've watched the unboxing. You followed along through the software walkthrough and compared it to the Evo 4G and Nexus One.

Now it's time to win one. That's right, we're giving away a Droid Incredible to one incredibly (finally, our first "incredible pun") lucky Android Central reader. Here's what you need to know:

  • In this thread, tell us what incredible feats (pun #2) you will accomplish with a Verizon Droid Incredible. We'll pick our favorite response on April 28 and announce it on the front of the site.
  • And because we're the best damn Android blog around, we're gonna up the ante and give away two Bluetooth headsets from the Android Central Store. Anytime you post (starting now) in our Droid Incredible forum, you're entered to win.
  • As mentioned above, this all ends on April 28, so get to it, and good luck!

A camera with a flash!? i haven't had one since my nokia n82 ages ago! why do manufactures keep leaving this out? xenon flash is definately the way to go. But anything is better than nothing! pic quality in any low light conditions on y Rhodium is horrible. So i'll be utilizing the camera a lot more than on my current device.
Also, i'd make a clear back case, or a "smoke" if clear looks too cheap so i could show off the awesome red back!

oh and i'll load all the pr0n apps that steve jobs has been talking about. ;)

With this phone I will accomplish such amazing feats as being able to take a quality picture of my 20 month old son, which is next to impossible with the slow camera on my G1. With said picture I will be able to post it to the web so I can exploit my child's cuteness for money (maybe a modeling or acting gig), because, well, he's that cute. All the while telling everyone how awesome my free phone courtesy of Android Central is :)

It would totally replace everything. I'm always on the go and the Incredible will cover my music, videos, camera, and computing! I dont have to be in front of a computer as much as i am now.

I'll finally be able to ditch my Motorola W375 that I've had for a few years. It was the most basic "feature" phone verizon had at the time. I'll also finally be able to find my way around using Google Maps, without having to print out directions for everywhere I go. I just moved to a new city and have been holding out on getting a GPS because I've been looking to get an Android phone for a while and was waiting for the Nexus One on Verizon but now I'm gonna have to go with the Incredible.

Droid Incredible vs. The World

I,the Human, along with my Android, the Droid Incredible will scour locations searching for the world's best. We'll find the "HD2" and crush it's video capabilites. Cross paths with a "Hero" and run speedy circles around it's browsing powers. Finally, where there is no service in the desolate lands of the city, do "backflips" on the "bold" iphone's app minions. Beyond the horizon stands a new batch of villains. Nothing short of an "evo"-lution. Its not infathomable, its the Droid Incredible.

The HTC Incredible will allow me, an Incredible VT student, to manage the flood of emails that every college student gets, the calendar will keep me on time for social event and uh ... that other thing you're supposed to do in college, oh yea class! Also the scenes in the new Sense UI will allow me to quickly transition from class mode to the extended weekend mode.

Coming from the world of "Dealing With Verizon's Craptastic Touchscreen Smartphones" DWVCTS for short .. I will do Incredible things like:

Actually browse the Internet without crashing my phone!
Compose a text message with less than 500 typos!
Know what "App Store" freakin' means!
Find out what GPS really does!
Take pictures in more than one default size!

and finally, and best of all

Put my Incredible beside my friends iPhone and actually be able to :p without looking stupid!

End the suffering

I've been stuck with my BB Storm 1 for more than a year and have drueled over the amazing features of the Android OS - and the HTC interface. I long for the possibility of being brought well into the 21st century with the option of a Google based OS and more than 50,000 different apps. With my present phone, I can't even do online banking via an application - but an HTC Incredible would allow me the option of doing much of my banking on my phone ... INCLUDING the ability to deposit checks by phone!

Credit where credit is due

In it's latest marketing commericals, why does HTC give credit to LucusFilms for the term "Droid", but does not give me credit for the term, "Incredible"?

The most incredible feat I will do with this phone, for the first time since the box phones of the 80s, is actually keep it for the full 2 year term without feeling the need to upgrade to another phone. No longer will I have to play the, "Are you serious, it's cheaper for me to 'add a new line' and get a new phone at the discount price and pay the extra $10 / month line charge than just upgrade my current phone?" game.

Incredible...

What would I do with a Droid?

Really the question is what couldn't I do? But I would love to tell you that I would take over the world in one quick finger swipe but that would not be the case.

Instead I would be using mine to plan and coordinate my wedding with my beautiful bride to be. No longer would I have to attempt to check my e-mails on my blackberry only to have to wait to get home so I could see the websites.

I could send out contracts to the vendors and better negotiate prices with them. Keep my bride to be happy so I can continue to be happy, you know the saying if shes upset I am upset...

Let's face it, I am getting married. My GeeK tools are no more. I have been reduced to buying Coach purses and girls clothes. The last cool thing I got to buy was a Blackberry Storm; and well that coolness lasted all of 2 seconds.

Back to therapy...

Thinking very seriously in switch from AT&T to Verizon and the incredible. I can't wait to visit the Verizon start and try one see how fast and multi-touch response works. With an Incredible Droid and Verizon I hope to be able of create applications that will let me manage my Linux servers at work!!!

Honestly, anything is Incredible compared to my LG enV I've had for the last four years. Hell, this would be my first time....owning a Smartphone. "Wait, I can browse the internet on my phone? Check E-mail? Phones can do that now?" I would love to have the Incredible and would even report on what it would be like for a Smartphone virgin to make the jump.

I will finally get a chance to check out what android has to offer, and buy many, many apps. Play games apps, use media app, and have fun, don't for get using all the great medical app for work.

Incredible

My reasons for wanting the incredible are simple.
1. Want a better phone. My current phone is one of the phones they give away for free with a 2 year contract and it doesn't do anything special.
2. I want a device that gets rid of my need for other devices. With this phone I won't need my mp3 player, my camera, or my GPS.
3. I want an app store that isn't regulated by some overlord that can just randomly decide that an app is no longer worthy.

What I would do with a Droid Incredible!

I would wake up in the morning from a cold sweat, from a bad dream of having flashbacks from all the other phones I have purchased in the past from my Verizon dealer. My visions are filled with images of slow operating systems, faulty mice, non responsive touch screens, incompatible applications, and constant overlapping of apps which lock up my device.

I turn on the light and look on the nightstand !!!!
My Droid Incredible is there........Thank God it was just a Bad Dream.
