Former Palm Pre user. Switching cuz Palm can never promise to update their phone at least once a year (or 18 months even). Happy with the switch so far. Love to win one for my gf so she can see how awesome this phone is.

Future sales rep for sprint

I hope I get this phone so I don't get **** for having a verizon phone in the sprint offices :-)

Me, my Hero has seen better days. Need something with a little more oomph to get the job done!

Plus, the keyboard could be very nice. Here's hoping!

I love my EVO, but i would definitely give the Epic a try if you give me one!
Maybe I'll even lend Android Central a comparison piece to use, eh? I know you're tempted to give it to me now! haha

Sprint, I think has 2 of the best phones in the country. I have had an Evo since launch, and aside from some early jitters, once they did the update, the phone has been almost perfect. It's quick, and reliable and everything i've wanted in a Smartphone.

But my roommate just got a Vibrant, and I have to confess I've been lusting after the Super AMOLED screen, and having a full on GPU. The thing I need to decide is it worth losing Froyo (temperarly) and Sense? At least if I win one here, I can have both, and chose for Real... I'd even post a video comparing the two.

I have the Samsung Moment and I absolutely love the landscape slider keyboard! The keys are really spaced out and large so I don't have as many problems hitting other keys by accident. The Moment is made by Samsung too so I have no doubt that I will love the Epic's slider keyboard as well!

63 Pages of Forum of people dying to get their hands the Epic. I think that speaks volumes about what Android people think about this device.

I still can't decide if the epic is better than the evo. The specs seem a bit lower but the screen quality and slide-out keyboard are beneficial. Decisions, decisions.

This phone will be a lifesaver for me at work! No fun waiting for apps to load on my Mytouch while Apple noobs surround me.

...cannot think of a better gift than the Epic...

LOL, I did that with the EVO. While she loves the phone she always said: "Well, some flowers and a card with it would have been nice too." So, you are forewarned.

Also, I was trying to get it as a surprise. Well the biggest surprise was that they activated it right at the Sprint store, so her old phone cutoff in the middle of the day. Oh well, all's well that ends well.

Possible BB convert

Ok, I feel like I'm attending my own AA meeting (Android Anonymous). My name is John and I've been a Blackberry user for about 9 years. I've been lurking on the AndroidCentral forum now for about 6 months and must say, I'm more and more convinced that a switch to Android is in my future. Seeing the offer for a free Epic phone convinced me to finally join the forum. I work for a software company and more and more people are writing us requesting that we build an Android app for our CRM. Winning the Epic 4G would be a great way to kick me off the fence. Thanks for accepting me into your group! I promise not to look back if I win!

You guys here are great, you have the best reviews, the best tips and tricks, and the best news. Its unbelievable how much you care about your community, and how you're willing to shell out for phones to give away. ;)

Thanks for being the best place on this series of tubes for one to get their Android fix!

Android Rules

A new android en the market! More providers, more phones more choices, more power! Good luck EPIC!

I still thing that 4G isn't going to save Sprint. When Lte comes out on a carrier with more subsribers people will suddenly forget about Sprint's lacking 4G service.

With that said, I have the captivate and would love to own an Epic!

I don't think that LTE will hurt Sprint that much. I have my doubts as to whether Verizon will be able to push out the LTE service as fast as they say. Also I have done some research on whether LTE is any better than Wifi and from what I can tell they have about the same speed potential. I was with Verizon for 6 years when I switched to Sprint and I was amazed at how much cheaper Sprint's plan was and I have the same coverage as I did when I was with Verizon (though this may not be true for all areas).

I'm not trying to cause any arguments, both companies seem to be doing well right now and I know people that are loyal to both Verizon and Sprint. Just wanted to put my two cents in.
