Winning an Epic would certainly solve my dilemma... Which is what many of us are probably facing... Physical Keyboard or not? I've never been without a Physical KB, but with the size of these screens I find myself willing to go that route, in fact I think I prefer it. Then comes the Epic with that gorgeous screen! but the added bulk :-( Also, is the Evo 8 megapixel camera vs the Epic 5 mp really that big of a concern? probably not, but it's still a consideration. All things being considered, I'm strongly leaning towards the Epic.

However, being an Employee of a (cough cough) large Telecom company here in KC, I have to wait until everyone else gets theirs before I'm able to make my purchase... So to everyone that has an Evo or an Epic, I hope you're enjoying your new 4G Android Phone!

I've been researching Android phones for a long time now, and in my opinion, the Epic 4G is currently the king. With the 1GHz Hummingbird CPU, Super AMOLED screen, physical keyboard and front-facing camera, this phone has got it all... drool...

I am ready to switch over from the dark side and start using the force. I'm tired of my iPhone and am looking forward to becoming a new, happy Android user. Please set me free!

I'm sort've torn. I have an Evo. I -LOVE- my Evo. I should not lust after the Epic, simply because my Evo makes me so happy... This is a "covet thy neighbor's Android" thing that they mentioned in the Bible, right?

Is the Epic better? Shouldn't I just be happy? I mean, I got FroYo before so many others... Why can't one ever be satisfied?

My wife wants the epic so bad, but like everyone else in the world, we are strapped for cash right now. I used my upgrade for my evo and she wont have one until may so winning this awesome device would make her month. Plus with our anniversary in october, this will score me done extra points, lmao.

My wife needs one

My wife was really excited when the HTC Evo came out and we waited in line to get her the Evo (I wasn't eligible for upgrade ) She got the phone and loved it. 2 days later we had a yard sale and she placed it by our newborn son on the lawn next to his crib. In the 2 seconds her head was turned someone swiped it and by the time we realized they were gone. All we had was an old Blackberry curve 8310. Months later now and she is still rockin the 8310 while I now have an Evo. She really deserves this. I hope she wins!

I would absolutely switch over to sprint if I won this phone. I don't think I get any 4G where I live, or where I work, but if I hang out at the mall I'll get it!

This is great, I have always liked Samsung phones but never owned a smart Samsung phone. The Epic looks like a serious competitor to the Evo. Got to love the Amoled screen.

Jumping ship to Android

I have been a blackberry user for a few years, and I'm just waiting for the right time to jump ship to an android device. Winning this would certainly do the trick. Good luck all.

Samsung Epic seems to be the one who will force me to sprint. Evo was the best , but we didn't have 4G in our area and hence I couldn't justify the extra $10 , but we are going to get our 4G by the end of this year, hence now it will be the best time to get on the android wave. How better will it be if its with a free phone, if not I will still try to get epic for test drive. May be that will convince my better half to leave verizon ;-)
