Why I would love to win
So the Year is 2008, i'm 20 years old and I'm excited to be growing up! I decided to get my own phone, and I signed up with t-mobile. I wanted the newest phone, and the sidekick at the time was poppin!. So i got a sidekick 2008....thinking it was the best on that network. Little did I know that this beautiful thing called android was coming into existence! And thats where my journey started....over the next year I followed the G1 and learned about Android features, but I didn't have the money to buy a new phone after I just started my contract( I'm just a college student). THEN FINALLY IN 2009 during the summer, I got the G1 and was loving it!! But the truth was I just loved Android. So then I switched to sprint because I wanted a hero which was the best android phone in 2009 in my opinion. So my contract was up in 2010 in march, and I GOT A HERO! AND NOW...I'M STILL BEHIND THE TIMES. I would love this phone, just because I would love the newest android love. They won't even support a 2.2. update for my phone, and i'm on my way to graduation and would love a new present!

This contest even made me signup for the Forums. I needed to anyway because I have some questions on rooting I need to get answered by some of the knowledgable people here.

So ive been super excited for this phone i have this crappy moment that i got in april because sprint wouldnt let me wait till june for evo just seein the epic helpps me believe my next upgrade will actually be worth it

What an amazing year for android phones and products. Thanks to Android Central for keeping up with it all. I have been amazed at the leaps and bound that these gadgets (with serious capacity) have made this year. The Sprint Epic (if it's anything like the Evo-4G) will be a real treasure to have and use.

Epic for the wifey?
My first phone after being a longtime BB fan was the EVO and man is my wife jealous!
You see, she didn't want to make the switch because she loves BBM (which is the only thing that held me back from switching away from BB sooner). After playing with my EVO (no, that's not junior's name) she wanted an Android phone too but she's can't live without a physical keyboard. Voila! out comes the Epic 4G.
This is a great Android phone for anyone making the switch from a BB because of all the great features, app store, camera, etc. and most importantly for BB owners -> a physical keyboard.
If we were to win this phone, what would you say are the top 5 apps for my wife, an Android newbie?

EPIC may stand for EVERYONE POST IN CONTEST! I would love to win this phone especially since my B-Day is next week & I cant afford a Epic or A EVO! A- my phone isnt an android phone its just a feature phone
B- the only thing i have thats a touch screen and get apps is a iTouch that is about to die since the battery is short
C- android can beat apple with any of android thousand different forms
D- i am a teen and need a new phone
so pleaz feel it in your Android Heart to give me the EPIC 4G and i am a texter that needs a qwerty keyboard and android 2.1
PS my dad wont even update my phone this month to android cause he thinks i am un responsible but he brakes his phone almost twice a year which is not fair DX so plz i need this phone ANDROID is my LiFE

I had a Hero before I got my Evo. The Hero was painfully slow compared to the Evo. It will be interesting to see how much faster phones can get in the coming months and years.
I think that the androids have taken over the phone market. I would not take any other phone but an android phone. This one looks to be the next best thing and I would love to have one for me. My winning this contest, now that would be Epic!!

I chose to get a HTC Hero from them, and even though it is a nice phone it is unfortunately one of the slowest and laggiest. I would love to get one of these as I've read on the reviews its pretty speedy. Please help a Android fan out and drop my Hero for something... EPIC.

Wow, I've been looking at the Epic for quite awhile now, and here comes one of my daily web stops with a contest to win one? My finance has been using a Samsung Moment for awhile, but has been having quite a few issues. I would absolutely love to get lucky enough to win one of these to get her a much-needed upgrade. Of course, then I'll have to be insanely jealous cause I'm still walking around with the Hero.

Yes, I did just register on this site to enter the contest but that's because I have had a touch Pro for the past 2 years and am look to upgrade. I loved contributing to the many Windows mobile sites I was apart of and trying out the various roms and would love to do the same for the Android community if I can be given the chance. (Plus my Touch pro is on its last leg as the keyboard is failing and the edging is falling off.)
