I'm looking for a new droid phone to replace my Pre. The moment was no good (Loved the OS, hated the hardware).

This looks like a solid piece of hardware, can't wait to convert (back) to droid.

I agree the moment is not particularly any good. From the laggy hardware to the GPS that won't get a lock.

Hopefully the Epic would do better. I like the hardware keyboard over the touchscreen keyboard.

I'm thinking that android central could probably have this phone shipped to me quicker than Best Buy online can.... I just need to get this phone, no matter where it comes from ! I was hoping to take it on a loooong trip this weekend... and doesn't seem like that will now happen.

I am happy that Sprint is finally getting into the game with some good handsets. I was with them when they thought the instinct was a great phone... I almost jumped ship then and am so happy I didn't. The epic is an amazing phone and I can't wait to actually try one and play with it. Maybe even win one

Glad I waited

This is the phone I really want. I got a Hero when I switched to Sprint... Big mistake. I hate the touch screen, though I thought it wouldn't bother me too much. This looks like the phone for me, especially since I should have 4G within 6-8 months.

I already have an Evo but I am hoping to get an Epic for my wife. She really needs it due to the fact that shes about to go into labor soon and I need her to have a phone with decent service (shes got AT&T) and to top it off shes going to start working from home and needs a phone with a hotspot and 4G service that is hopefully launching in Miami soon. Im keeping my fingers crossed to see if I win. Keep up the great work at Android Central guys. You guys are my number one news provider of all that is Android!

Went to the sprint store to check one of these out yesterday, and I am blown away. The vividness of the screen is unlike anything I have seen before. It almost looks like one of those "fake" screens they put on the non-working phones! Amazing!

Need the Epic to replace my Hero

I'm NOT posting just to win because I'm NOT a slacker! Ha! Honestly, though, I need this Epic. My Hero, while having been a fairly solid, reliable phone, is dying a slow death (less than a year old) although the now-solid-red-and-green power and talk buttons will look so festive during the Holidays. Before the Hero, I exclusively used Samsung phones on the Sprint network...the Hero made me realize its time to return to that habit. Samsung phones never gave me problem one and I've probably had 6 of them over the years.

This may sound petty, and it is, but when you're a tech whore it happens. My co-worker gave up his EVO to me. He said he didn't like how big it was. Well, he was quick to found out his mistake. I knew he'd regret it, but I really wanted an EVO. So if I win the Epic, I'll give him back his EVO!
