What are you talking about? The Epic beats the palm pre in every category, speed, # of apps, network speed, screen size, keyboard, camera, everything. If you have an Epic I'd break it out, I think you will like the TouchWiz interface if you are coming from webOS and the buttons at the bottom of the screen are kind of similar.
My dad would love the epic. He's been using an old samsung and I think it's time for a upgrade. The epic has a great screen that would def impress him but I know he can't afford it which is why I hope to win one for him.
I really want this phone for myself, but my wife has a dying Blackberry in need of replacing... She'd FLIP if we got this...

I just bought an EVO and am loving it, but it fails when it comes to gaming. I would love to be able to win this and sell the EVO. I would just have to put launcher pro on the EPIC to give it that sense feel.
Phil, you don't know how much I will appreciate winning an Epic. I technically don't even have an Android phone. My mom let me use her Samsung Moment for about a month. And that phone just SUCKS. I wouldn't want my worst enemy to get that phone. So I would greatly appreciate an epic phone like the Epic.
Oh, and if i don't win, i'll boycott Android Central. Nah, jk. But would you want to take that risk of losing a loyal user?

The question is if I won an Epic 4G, would I give my EVO 4G to my wife.........or just keep them both for myself. I honestly think it would come down to whether or not Cyanogen was going to be supporting the Epic. CM6 on my EVO is just amazing, and I think that the Epic would be even better.

We're still waiting on the free Epic. If it's me I'm leaving my wife for the phone and starting a new life together.
Currently Im a BB user, the phone was decent when it was new, but now is definitely obsolete. I really want to upgrade to an Android phone, because of all the great reviews and since all my friends now have them and are showing off. One of the great things I see is that they also use WiFi which would be perfect as my signal at home is almost non-existant. Hey isnt the new Epic WiFi capable? Hint Hint
As an Android user from day 1, I love my trusty G1. I use it to log my location in realtime, log the accelerometer data from when I go on thrill rides, I use it to navigate to places that I can't find, and have hacked it all to pieces with CM6, a 2600 mAh Seido battery, my life-saving InvisibleShield, my 16 GB Class 6 MicroSDHC with apps2sd partitions.
All this to say, my G1 as much as I love it is getting old. It can't run Google Navigate very well at all, and you can forget about multitasking while logging anything at all almost. I use my phone hard, and I'm reaching the limits of what my G1 can do. I'd love to get another phone, but the Epic is the only one that fits the bill of having a 5-row keyboard & front-facing camera! Unfortunately, I can't afford a new phone right now, so a switch to Sprint is out of the question. That is, unless I can get the phone for free! In-fact, Sprint minutes & data are a shade cheaper than my current T-Mobile plan, it's really the upfront cost that's preventing me from being able to switch carriers.
This prize would be wonderful in giving me an opportunity to move up a notch. As you can tell from my post count, I did register just to try to win, but I found out because I've been following your RSS feed in Google Reader and really enjoy the news you bring. AndroidCentral really is in the top tier of Android news outlets, and as an Android junky, I appreciate that! I might be a lurker, but I'm also an advocate!

That is a good looking phone and with d large keyboard even better.I'm tired of all d phone with d little keyboards that I can't type in fast enough.and with that review that posted today I'm sold on it.keep up d great job guys
