hope i get one. wifey just got one. i cant keep my hands off of it. she keeps teasing me that she has it and i dont. see also gets to take it to works. i only get it while she gives our son a bath. love the forums and all the info that comes out of it.

This phone looks really nice! I currently have a Palm Pre but I've always wanted to try an Android phone, a fast one atleast. The complaints i've had for the Pre have been build quality and small keyboard, but I'm hoping the Epic can match up to the snappiness of my overclocked Pre. That and there's so may small features Android has over the Pre that I would love to have one, or maybe some Android Pre hybrid... that would be sweet.

Android fiend- keeping my fingers crossed.

I used to be a blackberry fiend and after Android came out I've never looked back. I currently have a hero which I love but I can't wait to get the epic. I currently can't get one because I don't qualify for an upgrade but my sister has the evo and I've seen what 4G can do its already in some areas in New York, Brooklyn, and Queens. Android is not only user friendly its for the tech savvy as well. I really hope to be chosen it would be a great opportunity to make my sister jealous, lol.

knowing me and my hesistant nature toward rooting (im afraid im gonna turn my Hero into a brick!!!) im probably not gonna root this EPIC phone! ill probably use it more like a social media hub and a media player....

I've never rooted before. i didnt want to mes up my phone ... I'm new to all this root and rom stuff. now I have my new phone so i will learn and root my pre ... ill see how that goes then maybe ill root the epic...

ok So I'm a new member as of tonight lol. Sorry I am still pretty huge on androidforums.com but hey I can bounce around. So far me and my wife both have HTC Evo's but my wife does always complain about having a slide out keyboard, So maybe with some luck and a little magic wond I will win this for her lol. Anyway I welcome myself to android central. I've been a long time reader and just decided I'm always on here so why not join. Anyway I love sprint and the Evo's but man o man I've gotta say that the epic does look pretty sweet. Anyway good luck to all and have a good one.

EVO vs Epic

I recently got an EVO and I'm very impressed with it. I do prefer HTC Sense over Touchwiz. But I'm impressed with the Epic's speed and display. I love the Evo's screen size. But I like where they put the SD card in the Epic over the Evo. I could go either way with the keyboard. Other than that, they're the same.

I'm sure I would love either one of them.

After another year, I can upgrade again. It looks like I'll be spending time with my Evo this year.

Agreed, I do like how easily the SD card is accessible on the epic compared to taking out the battery just to get to it on the Evo. Both phones are great, and running on the best network for the money. I was on verizon but man I am saving a bunch of money on Sprint.

I know my chances to win are small, but what is worse is that the chances of finding a carrier willing to sell me a nice android phone without a contract are even smaller! I just want the phone for the android market, GPS, wifi, ebook reader, mp3 player... I don't want a million minutes or data plans, why don't they wanna sell me one!!
