Although it not that much of a sorry, my dad has a T-mobile g1 (which even hacked is runnung slow) and i would like to give him an Incredible so he can go incredibly fast.

I'm using the Droid Eris. I was really mad that 2.1 wasn't released OTA as promised, so I upgraded to the leaked ROM. Not even a week later, 1.5 was rooted. So instead of being able to upgrade to an awesome, custom 2.1 ROM, I'm stuck on the broken 2.1 leak.

Battery life is terrible, apps force-close often, and it always locks up. Would be nice to have a functional phone again!!

My poor old iPhone 3g has Steve Jobs finger prints all over it as he wont let me 'own' my phone. I want an Android phone to get Steve Jobs out of my pocket!!

This sorry old phone

My sorry old phone is a PalmOne Treo 600. It runs fine and it syncs with my mac. The PIM needed help so i installed Agendus, then my ISP asked for ssl mail so i had to install Iambic Mail but it was a blessing in disguise because it integrated with agendus. The browser is so bad that i needed a way to read news and get maps so i got pocket express but they cut me off by not supporting my phone anymore. The phone has broken 3 times but because i got insurance i got a replacement. The launcher was so ugly that i installed pocketsensei silverscreeen. I replaced the battery 3 ago but i dare not stray too far or too long without a car months charger or the wallwart.

After 10 replacement Blackberry Storms, I'm ready for Droid

I've had the Blackberry storm since the day it was released, Nov. 21st 2008. I stood in line since 5 am, and couldn't have been more excited.

18 months later, and I've had to get 10 replacements for 10 different reasons. My browser sometimes disappears, my phone will lock in the landscape position, I get the spinning wheel of death for hours, I can't install more than 5 programs, let alone use more than 2 of them at a time, and these aren't even the reasons I had to replace the phone!

One time, I went to the verizon store because my phone was unable to charge, (I believe it was phone #7). The guy spent 2 hours trying to activate 6 different replacement Storms for me, each one having its own malfunction, until he gave up and told me to call customer service.

Verizon used to have a program where if you had to replace your phone 3 times, they'd give u a free upgrade to a newer phone. Of course, no matter who you talk to (corporate customer service, or the guy in the store), they tell you to speak with the other person, who tells you that deal is no longer valid.

I've never hated a phone more than this Storm, and I can't wait to get the HTC Incredible!

I had a Storm 1 that was horrible, but since it broke I'm using a 4 year old LG flip phone. Help me out folks.

Using an HTC Touch

I am currently using an HTC Touch with Verizon. This phone is horrible. WM5 and it is the slowest device I have ever used. Please help me in getting connected with the in crowd. I am not in a position to afford a new phone at this time.

Thanks for your consideration.

Eris

I'm using the Droid Eris. I was really mad that 2.1 wasn't released OTA as promised, so I upgraded to the leaked ROM. Not even a week later, 1.5 was rooted. So instead of being able to upgrade to an awesome, custom 2.1 ROM, I'm stuck on the broken 2.1 leak.

I too have the Eris and wish I could get 2.1.

That's right, we're giving away a second Verizon HTC Droid Incredible. And you can (and should) enter both contests. (Here's the first contest.)

To win in this thread, tell us about the sorry old phone you're currently using. We'll pick one post at random Wednesday morning, and get the phone shipped off in time to reach you on launch day. Good luck, everybody!

Phil, I'll take it :) My Storm 1 needs to be retired :)

After 4 months of ownership I can't really say that my Droid Eris with leak #2 is "sorry" but it's already out of date technologically. I love 2.1 with Sense but just think how fantastic it would be on the incredible, double the processor and twice the fun. Also I would have legal 2.1!

Samsung Glyde

I am currently using a Samsung Glyde. Got this piece right when it came out, because I wanted a "smartphone" with a slide-out keyboard. Didn't bother checking reviews. Oops.

It was cool at first (mainly because I didn't know any better and I had never had a phone with GPS before). However, after a few months, the touchscreen began getting frequently miscalibrated, rendering the phone completely unusable and requiring me to power the phone off to (sometimes) remedy the problem. Over the years, the problem has only gotten worse, in addition to the phone becoming more and more obsolete in general. Numerous firmware updates have done nothing to alleviate the issue - if anything, they have gotten worse.

I may have also thrown said phone against the floor/wall/ceiling/little brother a few [dozen] times in an effort to "fix" the touchscreen problem. It hasn't worked.

And I don't even have a little brother. I have to use other people's. Awkward.

Save me from my phone, and help me out with a new one before I permanently "fix" the Glyde or am arrested for assault. I don't get an upgrade until the end of summer, and I don't know how much longer I can last. The beauty and allure of Android and the Incredible are almost too much to bear.

Please. Think of the children.

My sad story? I just posted a msg in the other win an incredible thread about my old iphone. Just as I typed enter I heard a loud bang! Turns out I just dropped my phone and the screen hit the corner of the table perfectly. Now I have a cracked screen and it won't turn on.

But truth is, if I were to win. I'd give it to my dad. Honest.

I have an HTC Apache with a home cooked ROM from the PPC Kitchen. It is older than most phones of its kind with a broken joystick button and a worn out touch screen. It does still make calls and open emails..
