I was using the Winamp desktop beta and the Android app and it was able to discover my Incredible maybe 10% of the time. I updated the desktop app yesterday and the Android app also, but it didn't work at all (I tried for about a half hour). I rebooted my phone and computer, made sure they were both on the same wifi network, set the screen timeout to 30 minutes to keep it from going to sleep, hit the "Discover" button over and over. Anyway, Winamp doesn't even recognize my Incredible on the wifi network.

It recognizes it more often over USB (that required some tweaking of the preferences), but USB syncing is old news.

So, does this work with anyone's phone? Did you do anything special? I know Winamp is moving quickly with the updates now, I'm just wondering if I'm alone here.

Its worked almost flawlessly for me. Sometimes it won't work if my phone is on the non-official charger for some reason, but 99% of the time i just boot up Winamp and start sending stuff over to my phone no problem.

What kind of phone do you have? Is it rooted or anything? I have a rooted Incredible. I don't use a task killer or anything. Maybe something else is interfering. Thanks for your feedback, though.

**Update
I ended up reinstalling Win7 on my desktop and now Winamp is discovering my Incredible just fine. The wireless sync works, but I think it requires that the screen doesn't time out.

Tips:
When your device is attched, right click on it in the "Library" pane and choose "Preferences." Under the sync section, click to sync only the playlists checked below, then check only the playlists you want.

Also, uncheck the next box which is a "Library" sync feature. This allows you to set a filter to sync other things that are not in a plastlist. The default however, is to try to sync everything else. This should probably be unchecked by default. Set it up like you would a Smart View (Winamp verbiage) (iTunes calls Smart Playlists).
