I installed the CWM Recovery and then tried to flash SSRom 2.6.7 but it did not boot so I then put the stock nandroids from the first page into a folder and into Rom Manager's backup folder. I then went to recovery mode and restored with the nandroids and it showed progress. After it reboot, it's stuck on the HTC screen.
I have tried looking online for a solution but with no luck. I am on a VM US Wildfire S so it should have worked. Maybe I may have missed something and is the reason for the problem? Any suggestions would be helpful. I don't care whether I get back to stock or to a custom rom. I just need my phone to boot and work again. Could I get step by step instructions? =/

at the time that i posted that, it was the SS rom on the original post on the first page, but since then i flashed the 2.6.7 rom, had alot more problems, so currently im back to the original rom, not the updated one.
if u read the bottom portion of page 44 it explains what all went wrong with the 2.6.7 rom on my phone, and what i tried to do to fix it and still couldnt get it to work properly, which is why i went back to the older rom for now
can u check what version u are running in the software information window so i can see whats going on and what u are working with
the android version? its 2.3.4
how long did you wait for it to boot after you flashed the 2.6.7? if i remember correctly, if you dont flash the bootanimationpatch.zip also, it will just be a black screen until it gets to the lockscreen.
thats what happened to me earlier when i re-flashed 2.6.7 the second time on my phone earlier today. upon reboot, it sat at a black screen for about 3minutes, then the touch keys across the bottom lit up briefly, then showed the lockscreen.
if you can get back to the recovery, try re-flashing 2.6.7, then the bootanimationpatch.zip, then reboot and see if that fixes it, it should show a blue htc logo shattering as the animation.
I gave up waiting for 10-15 minutes.
This is what I'm doing step by step. Hope you can tell me if there's something I did wrong.
1. Turn on phone using Volume Down + Power Button for HBoot
2. Choose Recovery
3. Install zip from sdcard > choose zip from sdcard > go to ssromclassic2.6.7.zip > Yes install ssromclassic.2.6.7.zip
4. Wait for installation. (Last line it says is "Installing update...". There were no other words under that line)
5. Screen then went black and it boot into recovery
7. Install zip from sdcard > choose zip from sdcard > go to bootanimationpatch.zip > Yes install bootanimationpatch.zip
8. Choose reboot system now.
9. Currently waiting on HTC boot screen.
Is there something that I did wrong?
did you format anything in the recovery? or even do a factory reset? that might be whats messing with it. Smartbrotha can probably direct you better in what you should format as im not 100% on what should and shouldnt be formatted. but thats about all i can think of off the top of my head that might be screwing with it

Oh, I didn't see your comment about letting it boot once before doing the animation patch. I still waited 15 minutes and then i just yanked out the battery. I'm on Android 2.3.4 and ClockWorkMod Recovery 5.0.2.7
Was I supposed to do any formatting?
