Wireless charger won't charge phone to 100% overnight

I agree with dryicex.

I do two things before I place my phone on my Verizon wireless charger:
1. Set my ringer to vibrate
2. Clear all of my background apps

If I wake up in the middle of the night and notice that my phone is fully charged, I pull it off the charger. I get minimum depletion. Last night I awoke about 11:00pm (bad dream), and took it off the charger. When I left for work at 6:30am, it was at 95%.

I've been getting an orange light most morning and my phone isn't fully charged (92-98%). I wasn't using the Samsung charger though. I'm going to try with the Samsung charger.

Here's the page in the manual for the Samsung S5 charging pad

So do the other brand QI charges do the same thing and shutoff once it reaches 100 percent or is it just the OEM Samsung version?

quick question! I just got the samsung round halo charing pad (newest one out). When I googled this... I saw some that actually lit up blue on top and it looked really cool! mine only slightly lights up blue in the front. Are there different versions? I want the glossy looking one that lights up on top too!

here is the video that shows glossy top and lights up blue everywhere! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFdI25mn31M

mine came in a samsung box blue and black with plastic in the middle. and mine looks like this.

my phone charges to 100% on my Samsung disc charger overnight and is at 100% when I take it off in the morning, I simply turn on do not disturb mode, and place it on the charger, I don't close any apps or anything

sent from my S6 using tapatalk

I have had the same things happen and have witnessed it when it happens. Whenever I get a notification the charging turns off and it starts blinking .

I'm seeing this also. I'm looking into a Tasker profile to prevent the notification so the phone charges to 100%.

Hi guys I used to have the same problem as you, I have an S6 edge with a 3M carbon fiber Sticker and a Goopery case on it and now I have no problem charging the phone overnight, the only thing to be done is to make sure you place the phone correctly over the charger and shut down the vibrations. Hope this helps some of you. Cheers.

Last night I used the official Samsung wireless charger to charge my phone overnight. The battery graph shows it reached 100% at 2am, but then dropped back down to 92% when I picked it up in the morning.

The highest battery usage app was "Connection Optimizer" with 2% usage which doesn't seem like a lot. I've disabled it under the "Mobile Networks" setting so we'll see if that helps. But somehow I doubt that was causing the drain.

Anyone else see this type of thing while charging their phone overnight on a wireless charger?

It's because it uses a type of technology called induction thing about you microwave and how fast it heats things or samsungs induction stove it can boil water in 2 minutes but the charging pad uses electricity instead of transferring heat to the phones back. It only works on magnetic devices

Here's an idea, if you have issues with a wireless charger stopping in the middle of the night and not "topping up" your phone...

Get a cheap wall-plug timer. Plug the charger into that. Set it to turn the power off and then back on around an hour before you wake up!

I'm trying this.
