Wireless charging not working after 4.4 KitKat update.

Since the OTA KitKat 4.4 update my Nexus 4 refuses to charge on my Zens wireless charger. Green light comes on but it just gets hot and battery doesn't charge. Works OK if I power the phone down before placing on pad.

Is this just me? I've googled, but can't find any other reports of this problem on the interwebs. Please let me know if you have had similar problems with the Zens or any other wireless charger.

Exactly the same is happening to me. The wireless charger was working very good with 4.3 and doesn't work at all after OTA to 4.4. Moreover - if I put the devise on and get the device out of the charger the phone may just restart/reboot with no any reason.

Do you have a Zens charger - or is this problem affecting all wireless chargers? Hard to believe if the later that it hasn't been widely noticed.

For me it's working. I've ordered the Zens charger (ZESC02B/00) at Amazon a few days ago. No problems with Nexus 4, 4.4 KitKat build KRT16S.

It seems to be that I've got a newer version of the charger because it says it's for Nexus4/5/7 on the packaging. Maybe they've changed something in KitKat and that's because it's not working?

My Nexus 4 no longer wireless charges after the 4.4 kitkat update as well. I have the Nokia wireless charger. It used to work great with a little fiddling to get it into the right position. But now it doesn't matter where i put it. I wont charge in any position.

I'm using the official n4 orb and it works fine. In fact even better than 4.3 because the android os wakelock that used to happen sometimes upon charger removal has been fixed in 4.4.
