Wireless Charging - What Happened?

So the Galaxy S 4 is coming out with wireless charging ready to go (so they say...) and I'm wondering where my OFFICIAL (no I'm not talking apart and gluing my phone) wireless charger is for the Note 2! Are they just gonna forget about us and put it out with the Note 3? I'm planning on keeping the N2 for 2 years and I'd really like wireless charging...any answers/rumors/ideas???

No ideas on official accessories from Samsung... But I doubt that they'll surface anytime soon if ever. If I remember correctly, having Qi charging capabilities wasn't advertised much if at all when the N2 was announced.

S4 will NOT have wireless charging as a stock feature; it will be an optional add-on (as in we'll-charge-you-more-just-to-have-that). IMHO wireless charging is just too expensive when you add up all the costs and the need for a charging base that's tens of times more expensive than a cable... but again, that's probably because I'm always near an outlet or USB port whenever I need to charge my phone...

Yup, that's why they'll only offer it as an add-on rather than a stock feature. The thing is, some markets will not see the add-on available.

That's why I brought it back up. The S4 is coming out and (supposedly) wireless charging will be available, although for an additional cost, either at or close to launch. So do they just put in the capabilities of wireless charging for the note 2 and forget about it? Shame...

If you don't mind modding, you can use a touch stone, and the charging back from a pixi or whatever. I bought the back for $3 and the touch stone for $5 a while back.

wireless charging = one of the dumbest things I've seen for cell phones yet. Yea I'll pay $100 for a charger that plugs into the outlet just like my $5 charger...makes sense to me.

Power windows.... I need that lol... Cruise control I barely use it
Wireless charging doesn't do much for me. To many easy ways to juice the phone lol

Cruise control is a must. I spend way too much time in my car not to have it, and I'm sure it's saved me from many a ticket

The cost of Qi charging options has come down dramatically in the last couple years. I mean, yea it's a "luxury" that isn't necessary but I love the convenience of it. It works out for me since I don't need to charge up in a hurry ever so a trickle charge is great and better on the battery.

yea because paying $100 for a wireless charger and then sitting your phone on top of it instead of plugging it into it makes so much sense.
