Won't wake up with the power button or double tap

got the g5 yesterday and I am having an issue. periodically the phone won't respond to pushing the power button or for the fingerprint scan to come awake. same with the double tapping on the screen. I get nothing. idk if I have done something wrong or just got a bad phone. any ideas would be great to hear. thanks.

I don't think it's anything you did. I suppose you could try a factory reset but I would have it checked out.

Try to remove the battery and insert again and try to start the phone...I guess the phone hung...
