Worth getting HTC One now or waiting for price drop?

The price of the HTC One Silver 32GB for pre-order on Amazon right now is ?519.95, is it worth waiting for the price to drop or not? With the SGS3 the price dropped quite dramatically a few months after launch, or will the fast pace of technology render the wait worthless? I am considering upgrading to the HTC One from my iPhone 4S at any time after launch.

And if you wait six months the price will drop even more. Or you could wait for HTC to bring out their next phone and the price will drop even further. Really, only you know whether now is the right time to buy or not. There are too many other variables in it.

And you're better off finding a Phones4U anyway as they have it for ?479.

Get it ASAP IMO. but thats just me. I never wait for price drops for anything lol. If i want it I buy it.

I'm a cheap ass to be honest.

I wait until 4-6 months after initial release. Usually the price drops pretty decently enough. Also, that allows the bugs to get worked out. Let all the other beta testers mess around with it. By the time you get it, a good amount of them have been worked out!

Ya and by that time something even better will be coming out. But thats the time I will be selling the HTC one to folks like you and buying whatever/ if something crazy is coming out =D

Whenever you get a new device, one of two things is guaranteed to happen in the next month:

1) The price will drop

2) A new, better device will be announced

My cousin want to buy iPhone 3G (when it was newly introduced to the market)... but he waited for the price to drop... as expected, the price drop when iPhone 4 rumor lingering around... so, he waited for the iP4... but then, the launched price is so high that he decided to postpone buying it and waited for the price to drop... and again, as expected the price is dropping off when iP4S is about to enter the market... and he waited for the iP4S... too expensive again, he waited until iP5 was launched... and last week, he told me that he is probably going to wait for iP5S or iP6 since the seller told him that Apple will probably release new iPhone model within 4 to 6 months from now...

Now, he is looking everywhere to buy battery for his Nokia 3310....
