The nexus brand hasn't disappointed me yet so Yea. I've had a note before and it was fun just a little to thick. Now everything is so thin I might now.

I had an AT&T Note too, after moving down a bit, I would be hard pressed to go back up.

I would consider it. I didn't vote because I can't say either way; it depends on the dimensions of the phone. For example, the Note 2 is a bit large for my preferences because it is too wide, while the DNA has a much more hand-friendly shape in my opinion.

My thoughts are essentially what was said here:

I'm ambivalent about whether it's a little thinner or not. My biggest concern is width. Anything much wider than the Nexus 4 isn't going to be nearly as comfortable for me to hold. So, for me, it really comes down to how small a footprint they can fit the larger screen in.

THIS. I don't mind a 5" screen, I just don't want a wider phone. A taller one would be fine though.

Nope, I wouldn't buy a 5 inch phone. I wouldn't even take one for free.

4.7 inches is really about the cutoff for me in terms of upper screen size. Anything above that is just too big for a phone. Conversely, anything less than 7 inches is too small for a tablet for me. And, that assumes I would buy a tablet. I really just don't have a need for one at this point in my life.

Would you buy one if the phone was the same size and only the screen was bigger?

Yes... I would. Why make a bigger phone? Just make the screen bigger. There's plenty of real estate on the front to do this.

I would if they can keep the same body size but fit the screen in it, like Samsung did the the S4.

I would buy whatever the next Nexus phone is, no matter what they do to it. I decided a few Nexus devices ago that this is the only phone I want as long as they make them.

Having said that, I prefer the screen size as it is right now. What I would prefer to see is a 32gb Nexus that can connect to any carrier on any band, any where in the world, with a camera that actually has both a larger digital sensor, as well as a larger lens (even at the expense of making the phone thicker). That dinky little lens is whats really holding back cell phone cameras. I don't mean a huge protruding lens, but maybe twice, or ideally three times the size it is now. Somebody get a petition started...those always work :p

Ok, so, it's not so much the size of the screen itself; I admit it's the size of the device that's the primary concern for me. I can physically hold and operate a Note or Note II in either of my hands, and it's a very nice device, no argument there. It's just that it becomes less and less convenient for me to carry it around. For similar reasons, that's why I have a 13" (33 cm) MBP and not a 15" one, or a 17" one. Larger is nicer, but it's just too bulky and harder to carry around.

I really don't at this point have a need for a tablet. I need the functionality of a real computer, and there just isn't the software I need yet available for tablets, with one (sort of) exception being Pages for the iPad. Not that I would buy an iPad; but The Document Foundation/LibreOffice.org needs to get their stuff together and compile a tablet-friendly version of LO. I'm also not really thrilled at the prospect of dropping $200-$300 on a device to read books; I'll just get the books and read them instead.

I agree with you here. I really don't want to have a wider phone than I already have. It is like getting an overly-oversized driver for golf.
