Would you buy a Pixel 3 again?

I'm thinking about getting a Pixel but I've heard mixed reviews. Would you buy one again?

Yes I would buy it again but asking that question here in the Pixel forums will get you mostly positive responses

I wouldn't. I'd hold off until the Pixel 4 when (hopefully) Google gets their act together and adds more than 4gb of RAM. And on that note, if the Pixel 4 has more Ram (and a wide angle secondary rear lens), I'm getting it ASAP. :)

Right. This is what I've heard was a major concern. The Ram

I definitely would, but I also picked up the 64gb Pixel 3 for $450 so at that price it was an easy choice. Camera is great, no wondering when an update will arrive, smooth interface and no issues to speak of. I have not had the RAM management issue at all, but that can vary depending on phone use and expectations. I don't sit on the phone and try to see if I can get an app to not stay open. Not saying anyone here does that, but I know it happens. I just use mine and no two days are exactly alike and the pixel 3 has been great.

I still use my Note 9 as well. I like both for different reasons so they each serve a purpose between work and personal uses.

Yeah. If I get one it has to be on a steal. I don't buy phones unless I get a good discount. I'm one of those discount shoppers (on phones anyway).

I suppose there isn't a benefit if you're locked in to Verizon.

We prefer using Google Fi and Fi usually has good buyer incentives. Last year's incentive for buying a Pixel 3XL on Google Fi was a Fi credit of $699. The Fi trade-in for the old 2XL was $300, making the 3XL upgrade effectively FREE! If Fi does the same thing again this year, we will upgrade to the 4XL.

There is no benefit buying the Verizon model unless you want to go through Verizon for service or want to add their monthly protection plan. Both versions look and act the same way except Verizon has a locked bootloader.

It hasn't been a real concern. It was never a RAM issue. It was a memory management issue that was addressed. I have both the Pixel 3XL and the Samsung S10 plus with 8GB of RAM. Both devices function the same. The exception is the S10 can hold more programs in memory without having to reload them. Most programs reload fast enough that you don't even notice. The exception would be a large app like a game that is sitting in the background for awhile and gets released from memory.

Absolutely, me too! I paid $750 for the Note 9 and $650 for the Note 8 a year earlier. Traded in the Note 8 for $550 towards a S10e for my son a few weeks ago. I try not to spend much so when the value drops it's not much of a hit.

Only because of the camera and free original quality pic cloud storage.

If Samsung Note 9 or upcoming Note 10 has the same amazing camera as Google, I would switch to that in a heart beat.

Without hesitation. I don't think the brand is for everyone, but Pixel 3 is spot on for me. Matter of fact, have Pixel 4 preorders opened yet...?? No..? Well... Just 6 more months or so ... practically, right around the corner.:p

I'll be joining you when pixel 4 gates open :)

Same. The camera is what keeps me on the Pixel. I have been a big fan of the Pixel line and have owned all three XL devices, but the 3 has been my least favorite. Annoying memory management issues, annoying and inconsistent speaker performance, annoying and inconsistent phone audio issues. None of those are deal breakers or I wouldn't still be using the device, but Google should do better. If the 4 isn't a pretty significant upgrade in quality control I will be taking a long hard look at the Note 10. That Pixel camera, though...gonna be tough to leave that behind.

In a heartbeat I would, Absolutely. Prior to the Pixel line I always bought the latest and greatest Samsung phone, However I got tired of the bloat ware, Absolutely ridiculous delays for new OS updates, lag, etc. Then the Pixel line came out and I jumped on board and fell in love with the line. Arguably the best camera in a smartphone, Instant OS updates, zero lag, Zero bloat ware, great battery life, and so much more. Now don't get me wrong, The Samsung phones were solid phones, but once the Pixel line came out I would never look back at another phone besides Google's. The only way that would happen is if Samsung for example dumped their overlayed skins, started providing immediate OS upgrades and no bloat ware, But I just don't see it happening. they have certainly gotten better, but they are still far off. I share the same sentiments of DMP89145 and Mustang7757.."When do Pixel 4XL pre-orders start", Lol. I am anxious to see what Google is going to do with the 4 series. It's amazing what they can do through software on photography with one lense. if they add a second I can only imagine how mind blowing the 4series camera will be.

How's your battery life on the pixel 3? I've heard it isn't too great.

Pulled the trigger and got a very lightly used Pixel 3 on a steal. Wanted the not pink but couldn't pass on the deal for the clearly white for a great price. Yay!

I have an Iphone X, a Samsung Galaxy S10e and my Pixel 3. I really should get rid of the Pixel, but I won't because I like it so much. It is the perfect size for me and pure Android is a joy. I just love when I select Power Off... it turns off; it doesn't ask me, " are you sure you want to turn off?". No BS. Just a great phone.

When I first got the phone the battery got me through a full day without a struggle. Now, unfortunately that isn't the case. I have to do a mid day or evening top off. I would still buy this phone again in a heartbeat though.

I wonder what great, not great, and not too great mean? My Pixel 3 has been on since six o'clock this morning, it's one p.m. now and the setting says I have more than two days left. For me, that's adequate but maybe not too great. Note, I'm deaf and don't receive phone calls and I have no games or social media on my phone. I keep my schedule, my shopping lists, do text messaging, use my dictionaries, Google Maps, and I take a lot of photos.

There are things I don't like about Pixels but I'd probably buy the Pixel 3 again.
