would you buy a smaller note?

As much as I love the big screen on the Note 8, I wouldn't necessarily hate life if a future Note phone was comparable to the Note 4 in overall size.

I have the Note 3 as a backup phone and sometimes it's nice to feel the flat, uncurved screen, that said I love the Note 8 and no way would I buy a small version.

I don't think Samsung should have brought a + version of the S series out either, S Series aimed at the general phone market, Note series for the more multi task/power user, as it was in the early Note days up to the Note 4.
Just my thoughts.

I preordered the s9+. If they hadn't offered it it wouldn't even be a thought

Funny, I feel the exact opposite. My kids wanted to play the gear VR the other day so I dusted off the ol note 5 and almost cut my hand off on the edge of that awkward flat screen. Ha

I would buy a smaller one in a minute. I don't get the obsession with tablet-sized phones in your pocket. Make 2 models like the S line. Problem solved. Note features with a pen in a package the size of the S9 or SLIGHTLY bigger would be the perfect phone.

I need the spen, I hate the screen size and format, that's why I didn't buy it. If they had made a smaller but equally powerful Note that actually looked like a real notebook, (4:3 or 16:9), I'd buy it the next day.

I loved the Note series. I have a Note 8 but couldn't get used to the weird size (too tall and too thin). I know it's barely taller than the Note 7, but it edged over a line for me and I wound up switching to a non-Samsung phone with front firing speakers and a 16x9 display (I stream a lot of live TV on my phone too and watching TV on that weirdly long display sucks.) I really miss my stylus... My favorite layout was the Galaxy Note 5, it wasn't the prettiest to look at, but for note taking and viewing live TV, it was the best. It only needed a front firing speaker to make it awesome. FYI, I still have a Note 7 FE and the Note 8 but they're not my daily driver.

I want a shorter phone, with a front facing fingerprint sensor/home button and nav buttons that you can customize to put the back button on the left side where it belongs! (like the Note 8 or One Plus phones but capacitive buttons next to the home button)

The Note Series SHOULD go UP in Size.

6.6" to 7" for the Next Note to come to Market.
Make it a little bit Taller and Wider.
This would do a Few things for the Better.
1. More Interior Room for the Internal Parts.
2. Larger Battery.
3. More Internal Spacing for Cooling.
4. Ability to Keep Features and also Possibly Add Features instead of taking away Features to save Space.

There's Always going to be People who just want to keep Status Quo and then there's others that Want and Need More and Bigger and Better.

What Size Would You Choose if You had the Choice?

A. 5.5"
B. 5.7"
C. 5.9"
D. 6.1"
E. 6.3
F. 6.5"
G. 6.8"
H. 7"

Yes, I'd buy a smaller Note.

I like my Note 8. I am ok with the width, but I wouldn't mind if they went back down to at least Note 7 size/ratio or chop an inch off the top going back to the old ratio that would be fine.

When the Note 7 came out I said that was my max size limit. But then they got recalled and the Note 8 came out and I wanted the S-Pen so I have a Note 8.

Like I said, I like the phone. The size is doable most of time. But for me it doesn't fit all my needs for my entire lifestyle. Like even though some people say they have no problem running with phones like an iPhone 8 Plus sized phones, I just think it's just too bothersome and I haven't run with it since I have gotten it. I just got accepted to run the NY Marathon this November and thinking I'll run with my spare 6s.

nope.... I would like it 6.5 inch and truly bezel less instead

The size would be great for me, but how would you hold it without activating the touchscreen? Cases would be problematic as well. I just don't get the "bezel-less" idea. I dislike the curved edges of my Note8 as it is.
