A high megapixel count CAN be advantageous, the mistake is in thinking it alone is sufficient. Nokia Pureview cameras (and their 41(!!!) mp camera) are often cited as the best smartphone camera out there (whenever they're included in comparisons, which is not too often because they're so niche), and I'm eager to see what the Lumia 1020 will be able to do. (Shame it's only on AT&T in the US). The key is nokia doesn't just make the Pureview about the high megapixel count, they also include better optics and clever processing.
I'd love to have my cake and eat it too: An ultrapixel camera that also has 8mp+. Having said that, the HTC One's camera is very well suited to my needs as I tend to just share photos to g+ or twitter, and rarely bother to zoom in. So, yes I'd absolutely buy another phone with ultrapixel camera again, but I'll always be hoping for even better! ;-)
You know me so well!![]()
Speaking of which, I know you're a straight shooter so what do you think about the low-light capability of the Ultrapixel camera?

It's impressive for sure. The S4 is capable of better low light pics but It needs tweaking and it's not consistent. For whipping it out and snapping the One is more consistent.
What evidence do you have outside a website with arena in it's name that the s4 can take better low light pics under any conditions?
