if the evo came out with some pre-loaded movies on it like the HD2. I think it should come pre-loaded with avatar or some kind of movie with great effects.

OMG Avatar would be really cool. They could really do some awesome TV ads showing off that movie. Hey does Android have the James Cameron's Avatar game by Gameloft? That would be so sweet if they would package the two together and feature them both in an ad.

The mobile Avatar game is incredible! A friend has this game on his Palm Pre Plus.. All I can say is ...fantastic!

I LOVE it, but I have it on a regular Pre and I just don't have enough RAM - I get the Too Many Cards error before and after playing it. Anyway, heck yeah if this were on Android I would be really happy. Can you imagine playing it on that nice big screen?

Ya thats why he is using the 720mhz cpu patch, with the cpuscaler patch. He said its lighting fast now.

I have the 720mhz kernel on my Pre and it REALLY helps. Also kills the battery!

Speaking of 3d gaming, I saw one video on YouTube where the demo guy had some preloaded videos on the Evo, and the one he showed was a game trailer video from Gameloft. It showed Assassins Creed - Altaires Chronicles and it was beginning to show Asphalt 5, but then the video ended spontaneously. The Assassins Creed game looked great, just like the Pre and iPhone versions, and not like the rather crappy looking AC that you can download now.

What I am still confused about though is, is how Android handles available memory for Apps. As I understand it, you can't install apps on a microSD Card, correct? Seeing how those Gameloft games took up 200 MB on a Pre, how will that work on Android where you get only what, 500 MB total for apps?

Wasn't Google working on a solution to that so the microSD card can be used to install apps on? I remember we all had that issue with the Pre at the beginning where they only gave us 512 of ram for app storage, but they fixed it later so we were able to use the entire available space.

Does anyone know?

They are working on a solution. Part of the Problem is removable storage. They are looking more of a solution of how Windows Mobile did it. Currently, you can only run Apps/Games from SD card if you are using a custom ROM with busybox installed. Even then, you could use the entire SD card, but then not have anything for music as the partitions are different. Apps are stored on EXT partition and everything else on FAT32. The trick is finding the right medium for you. I have a 500mb EXT partition on my sd card and that is more than plenty for right now. To resize it, you have to backup your SD card as partitioning wipes everything. There's the problem with their solution. While the apps2SD is a fix, its only temporary until they work around making the OS able to run apps off of a FAT32 Partition AND make it secure so it protects developers. What some apps have done is stick core pieces of the app in the internal memory and have files on the SD card which contain the libraries.

Thanks for the explanation. Yeah, that's what I was thinking, have the core program on the phone, the big rest of it like sound, video, and textures on the SD card, that seems a reasonable solution for 3d games like the stuff Gameloft produces. I sure hope they will port all those iPhone games over, I just got used to having a "Gameloft tuesday/wednesday" on my Pre, since this is when they usually release new games. I bet the games would be more enjoyable on the Evo as well due to the bigger screen which will give you more room for the virtual controls.

Interesting how the HTC Incredible has 8 GB of internal memory... too bad they didn't do that for the Evo.

it may have 8gb of internal storage, but i have read the reviews about it and they say you cant access it like you can with a SD card. like if you download any of the emulators and store roms on the 8gb internal storage, you cant find it. seems like a problem im glad the EVO wont come with. plus the EVO will come with an SD card anyway, im guessing about a 8gb.
