First is a flash. Second is a dump. Don't extract. Try placing in data local.

The original images are smaller than the screen. It needs to stretch or wont be full screen.

You will need to boot into recovery with boot strapper. Install from zip and select the file and install.

Try and dl the second link. The with root explorer copy from sd card then paste in data local.

It goes in /Data/Local not /System/Media. If it's not working, make sure you don't have something in both locations, delete any bootanimation files in the /System/Media folder. Also, make sure the file name is bootanimation.zip

It can go in both. It will search data local first. I prefer data local and have the zip to install into there.
