Your biggest GRIPES about the phone?

Gripe? I would say not having full Yahoo integration/sync. You can receive your Yahoo mail but when you delete, that doesn't sync back to my actual inbox online (as far as I know unless I'm doing something wrong).

Search the market for an app called "ROID 1.0 - Get Yahoo" It seems to be a yahoo mail app like the built on GMail one which should solve your problem. Costs $1.99 but well worth it if it works.

You sir just might be the only person in the world that feels this way. :D

Let me put it this way.... I dont know of anyone porting the MotoDroid's keyboard for use in other phones.... but there are tons of HTC keyboards over at XDA for use on the MotoDroid. Its one of the first things I changed when I got my MotoDroid.

No I agree with him but the HTC one is growing on me. Actually you would probably have better lick with the one for the Nexus One than the Droid.

only gripes so far was no Picasa in the gallery (fixed by a download from xda), and the red earpiece has already gathered pocket lint that I can't remove.

I'm going to give it a week or two before I complain about the battery...but even still, it seems OK to me.

You downloaded the Droid 2.1 gallery right? So did I and it works like a charm :-)

Honestly, I don't get this gripe. I have yet to run across a phone that is great outdoors in direct sunlight. My Storm sucked as well. Honestly, how often do you stand in the middle of a park in direct sunlight and surf the web or reply to an email?

But that's just me...

There is one that I know of.... iPhone... but yes this is par for the course with a touch screen.

I noticed that when I used the phone in the store, the HTC "spotlight" live wallpaper didn't work. Everything else seemed to, though.

Also, I tried shutting off Sense in the Applications menu like you could with older phones... but you outright can't in the Incredible. Once you do that and click Home, but phone will just restart Sense. So it looks like they really DID get rid of stock Android. Not saying that's a bad thing, but just putting it out there.

Look at it this way, more space for apps. ;-)

When you are listening to music or a podcast and go to another app the the thing stops playing and wen you go back to that app it starts over at the beginning again... BUG... please fix!

Since when!?

A year and a half ago they dropped the NE2 credits as stated above. If you last upgraded before that time you might actually still get the original $50/$100, but I can tell you that if you have changed your calling plan at all or swapped phones from one line to the other they are gonna screw you out of it. They did it to me with the S2 back on Nov.

my biggest concern is that there is no copy paste ability outside of the browser. IF there is text on my screen... I should be able to copy it and if there is a text box on my screen, i should be able to paste into it.

any word on if there will be copy/cut/paste coming to this phone??? with how much i use this on my blackberry its almost a deal killer and reason for me to not get the incredible. i would HAAATE to see this mess up the awesome streak this phone is on.

A Few Complaints (But overall great phone)

Background: I came from BlackBerry.

My biggest and most important gripe is the battery life. I have made huge improvements by turning off wifi and GPS when I don't need then and turning off data always on. I should hopefully put this issue to rest entirely when my Seidio 1750mAh gets here next week.

My other hardware complaint is no dedicated phone button... No big deal, I will get used to it but I definitely miss it.

On the software side I have a few complaints.

Why can't I hide application or arrange then to my choosing in the "All Programs" section?

Why can't I uninstall packaged items like "Friend Stream"

Why can't I shut down a program completely without 3rd party? (in BB pressing the End button kept the program up and returned to the home screen, holding the end button killed the app and returned to home screen).

And my biggest complaint right now... Why can't the Sense photo album arrange my photo's by folder? I just see all of my pictures in one big mess. So annoying!

Other than that I love the phone. :D

Go to settings> manage services (or processes) > touch to stop process.

My biggest gripe is pretty easy....I don't have one

Amen to that - I was not above "begging" the VZW store salesman to find me a loophole to let me have my upgrade a week early... but they said I couldn't and silly me I had given my primary line's upgrade to my hubby so he could get his droid a few months ago. Well It will just be a few days now!

I ran into the same problem on the wifes Eris with W7 Professional x64. Going to try again with the Incredible and see what happens now, it's been a few months since we tried last.

long press on any email text or web page text and cut and paste feature appears..Also works on memo and word docs..

+1 for making it difficult to close apps. I know android handles this but what if I think an app is a high priority and android doesn't? Also with monster specs like the incredible chances are it can run multiple battery draining apps with no problem until the battery runs out.

I also found the media player suprisingly lacking. (If I'm wrong just let me know) But no STOP button for music? Only pause? Also the phone doesn't appear to natively support WMV, AVI playback. I'm hoping I'm wrong with this one because even my old storm could do that.

Dude both here and on CB you are brutally honest.....totally respect that bro.

You make me feel like I made the right choice, I mean I know I did, but battery life is always an issue but heck what phone gets great life anymore except BB's and my curve gets a few hrs but if I open an app and forget to close it, it takes forever.

I am guessing that everyone with this device that nobody is closing apps and that is why battery life is low?

I close apps all the time before I lock the screen. My battery was fully charged this morning at 7 am and at 19% by 3:30. I was in classes all day so I only did a little playing around, some web surfing, ran live wallpapers, searched the market and sent a handful of texts. Looking forward to my 1750.

Am I the only one who doesn't like the sound quality from the person on the other end? Even when you dial and it rings, you can hear a 'fuzziness' behind it. It seems that there is a 'noise cancellation' option that is built in, so it's silent on the other end when no one is there. This is fine, however on many occasions, I have only been able to hear the second syllable of the person I'm talking to and then the rest of their sentence. Almost like you are on speakerphone...a really BAD speakerphone.

This has actually become VERY annoying and on some occasions, I can't really understand them at all, having me hang up and call on a landline.

I thought this was just the one phone that I got, so I took it back to a VZW store and they exchanged it (after some griping), but this new one has the same issue.

Anyone else?
