What's your top 3 app on your gear 2?
and what apps do you think have a real good potential to keep an eye on.

Here's my top 3 for now:

1. Gearam Music ID
Music recognition app

2. St George MoneyMeter
View your account balance without logging in

3. Watch Styler
Free digital/analogue watch faces, can even design your own

There's a newish app in store called Smart HUB, it basically acts as your main watch face.
Splits your main screen into 4 sections allowing you to view more items at a glance, the setup I had was:
time, currency value(aud/usd), weather, email. You can personalize these 4 items with any of the other options available, just to mention a few of them - facebook, twitter, custom RSS feed.
I think this can be a great app! just needs a few improvements.

I don't really use any additional apps. I mainly love it for the way it handles texts, calls, and calendar invites

Pretty much the best smart watch in that regard

The only app I use on the watch is Fleksy. Love being able to type texts on a watch :)

I use the Watch Styler a lot.. I like to change watch faces frequently and make up ones for holidays and other occasions as they come along.

I really like an app called Speech2List. I use it all the time for making grocery lists.

Other than that, the default apps included with the phone provide all the functionality I need....

Is the Speech2List phone app a standalone app or does it integrate with Google Tasks or something?

It's a standalone app.. It installs on your phone and on the watch.

You create or edit the list on the phone and it gets mirrored over to the watch as you create it. Each item on the list has a check box (both on the watch and on the phone). When you check off an item on the watch, the check also appears on the phone.

Once you're done shopping, you can delete the checked items only, leaving anything you might not have had a chance to pick up.

It's a simple app, you can only make one list, but It's perfect for making a grocery list. I used to keep my grocery list on the phone, but I hated having to drag it out every now and then to make sure that I got everything. Now it's on my watch. Here's a youtube video:

I really like the functionality of reading/replying to email/text/calls.
Other than that I like the media player to control music on the phone, Gearam Music ID is fun to use, and Smart Hub has potential to be useful.

if u mean 3rd party apps:
alarmPRO. f'ing awesome

nothing else comes to mind...

What does AlarmPro have that you can't get from using the stock Alarm on the phone? My watch goes off with any alarm I have set. Is it the standalone function?

just install the free one and see how much better it is, rather than expecting me to convey on here, how much nicer it is. However, you REALLY need the paid version to make it go from nice to awesome. Very insistent alarm sound choices are the primary reason I like the Pro version, as well as descriptions for the alarms, so I know WHY my watch is alarming. Also, it needs no connection to the watch (not saying the other alarm app is different in that regard).

1. Multi-Watch (customizable watchfaces and swipe-up for 3x3 launcher!)
2. Smart IR lite (lets me control my home entertainment stuff)
3. Wearable Widgets (used with zooper to make a custom info dashboard (appointments, weather, phone & watch stats, etc.) as well as use widgets from your phone for apps that don't exist on Tizen yet (my home automation stuff).

I've had my gear for MONTHS and JUST discovered this today. It is the holy grail for this device. Everyone should have it!

Hi... several months after your post on this thread. I just bought the Gear S. I uninstalled Watch Styler because there were 3 faces in the library that I didn't like. When I tried to add more to play with, I would have to pay $1 to get them! My actual question is how to use Speech2List. I know both English and German but I can't get the app to do anything. There is a black screen with the blue Speech2List at the top. What do I do next??

My top 3 are:
Logbook
Wrist List
Quick Settings

1. My Notes in Gear. I use this every day at shippers and recievers to sync all the trip info on my phone to my watch. Alot of shipping and receiving departments (in trucking) frown on you bringing a phone in.

2. Undercover. Its nice to be able to have a recorder around agressive customers to silently record the conversation. Cant be used in court but you can play it to your boss to save yer job.

Smart IR Remote. I use it for all my electronics.

Well, I'm a little new to the gear 2 fam. But so far i found these very useful:

Flesky
Commander
TeraCalc
