YouTube resolution on qHD displays

Does anyone know what definition YouTube streams to your qhd phone screen? (940x540)ish I can't remember. I am wondering if you are streaming a 720p steam and the phone down converts it, or if you get a 480p stream. I assume the latter, because I have noticed that YouTube doesn't look nearly as good as playing back recorded videos on the phone, or any other video. Is there any way to get HD fed to the phone from YouTube, assuming of course it isn't already. The HQ button just isn't as high quality as I think the phone could handle. Qhd is a weird res when it comes to video so I know that screws things up, but I. Still feel, like I said, that the phone is capable of more. Any thoughts?
