Z3 compact doesn't recognize ear buds???

Hello everyone.

I purchased from Sony, compatible noise cancelling ear buds, and things work fine..but...when i use my Samsung ear buds,,,the phone is not recognizing that they are plugged in and only play music from the phone speakers.

Anyone have this issue??? Thank you

Could be that Sony and Samsung just set their headphone jacks up differently. Do the Sony ones work in a Samsung phone?
