And that's with the 4GB version, right? Man, I can get that kinda battery outta my S3... with airplane mode on. I'm really looking forward to this phone.
Yep... all good I think.

Although now I'm curious. What's the battery life like with Wi-Fi and/or cellular off?Yep... all good I think.

I tried to make a new thread for this but it needs moderator approval (?). Here is the good news...
Zenfone 2 has been rooted!

This is awesome! Oh, the possibilities!
i heard something about a memory leak in android 5.0 that hits the battery

....
Yup, it's currently affecting all devices still on 5.0 which has seemingly been "fixed" in especially 5.1(.1?). When the release cycle for the phone is complete by the beginning of Q3, then we can hopefully expect either a 5.0.2 upgrade, or if possible a bump all the way to 5.1.x.

I have a Note 3 running 5.0 and definitely no mem leak or battery drain. 5.0 runs wonderfully on it - it was like getting a brand new upgraded phone when I updated to 5.0. Don't have the Zenfone 2 yet to know if it's a problem on this phone but the memory leak is not a universal problem with 5.0. Nexus devices seem to be the ones primarily suffering this.
Hmm, you're right about that. I jumped the gun again by saying 'all', definitely not every device but at least in the Zenfone 2 ZE551ml models, it was very evident when they couldn't even go into deep sleep before the latest update. Until I have enough hands-on usage with mine when it arrives, I can't say as much as I'd like haha.

I saw in another thread you said you got a 2GB model. What processor does that have? Are you expecting it this week?
Not exactly. 2 hours and 15 minutes off charger. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off, NFC and location on.
I would rather not disable Google now... it's part of what I love about Android.
