But what is nice about that is when playing music your lock screen isn't cluttered with notification only album art work of the playing music unless you decide.

How is the lockscreen interaction with Google Play Music? Does it still show the audio controls without tapping the bell? Does it show the album art or not, or can that be toggled? Mostly just curiosity here, my grey one doesn't ship for a few weeks yet.

Yes it shows all the controls overlay the album art without tapping the bell.

Now, big question: is it possible to switch to using on screen navigation keys and diable the capacitive ones?

I preordered mine from Best Buy. The ZTE website now says a shipping date of 9/9 for the gold model in the US. I guess there has been some demand. Hopefully I can pick mine up on Friday.

I noticed that on the Best Buy website it says the phone is available for release on Friday. I hope this means we can pick it up then.

Yes if you check the store pick up option it says pick up on Friday

My store isn't offering it. I have to wait for Best Buy to ship it to me via Standard Shipping. I couldn't even upgrade my shipping speed.

Yeah, I am surprised by that too. I was hoping to see a few more video reviews before receiving the phone. The only one I saw so far was from Android Authority, and it was done by some teenage kid. I was hoping to see some of the more experienced reviewers do a video. Obviously the review embargo was lifted.

Wow, that stinks. I'm guessing you live in a more rural area. I live outside of Philadelphia and there about 5 stores available for pickup.

There's two Best Buys and Best Buy Mobiles within an hour from me. They just put a minimal amount of effort in customer service.

Check this out. I couldn't change anything on my preorder, but I tried to see if I could make a new preorder. Now I can just drive to the Best Buy 30 minutes away and pick up on Friday. So I cancelled my old order and made a new preorder to pick up on Friday.

Pretty stupid, but if it works, I don't really care!

Off topic, but I find it interesting that the ZTE site notes the Axon 7 has a 3250 mAh battery, but 3140 mAh seems to be the actual size. Just an observation, I guess.

How long ago did you purchase from B&H? I would order one from Best Buy and if you can get it tomorrow, cancel with B&H.
