ZTE Axon 7 Reviews Thread

Tom's Hardware chimes in. Not a big fan of battery life but gives Axon 7 a final score of 8/10.

This review is strange. "mixed audio performance" is one of their gripes and the camera is listed as one of the positives. Every other review has it the other way around. They actually call the speakers "ok". That's a first.

I was thinking same thing. Everything I read before this was the camera was somewhat eh, especially in low light, and the audio was awesome. Yet this review flipped it. Wish Android Central would chime in. Regardless, still can't wait to see that Newegg package in the mail.

I like what he's saying, but I'd feel alot better if they didn't put their fourth string guy in to review this phone

Engadget review is up.

"If you want a cleaner OS and can live with a less-sharp screen, the OnePlus 3 is a better bet at the same price. But those who prefer a great multimedia experience and a distinct aesthetic will find a more suitable companion in the Axon 7."

That's true. But ppl on Verizon can't use the OP3. So this is a great alternative.

this could be realistically a perfect phone if ZTE spent like 5 minutes reading this forum or scrolling through youtube and corrected like 5 things. Its all pretty simple problems
Capacitive button positioning isn't all that simple to change, particularly if other hardware is in the way.

I like the position of the capacitive buttons/keys. If they were farther apart you would not be able to reach all three with one hand... unless you have super long thumbs!

I haven't toyed with the phone nor any other big phone outside of the Samsung S7 Edge, so I can't make a final judgment. But the buttons look about an inch or two from the actual home button. That'd have to be sorta troublesome I imagine.

Edit probably less than an inch, I'm pretty dumb when it domes to measurements off top.
