ZVK Install + Download Update.zip

We now have an update.zip file. The install dir. are down below!
I'm not responsible for your phone blowing up in the process or any other bad things you do to your phone.


To install:
1): Put the download on the root of the SD Card. Name it update.zip.
2): Turn off the phone completely.
3): Turn on HOLD VOLUME UP + POWER
WARNING THIS WILL WIPE APPS AND DATA. GO INTO ADB AND TYPE ADB REBOOT RECOVERY TO SKIP THIS AND CONTINUE.
4): Use the volume keys to scroll to update.zip.
5): Press home.
6): Wait while it installs. And you're done!

My wifes phone just got this update. Does anybody now if it will work? Also using ics where is the updated stored? I was also surprised to see this since the OTA update is disabled on our rooted vipers. Any feedback? My viper didn't get the ZVK update.

My viper is rooted and as you can see in this SS I still got the update. I'm not updating until we find out if we can root zvk.

Using a root browser go to etc/ security and rename otacerts.zip

My viper is rooted and as you can see in this SS I still got the update. I'm not updating until we find out if we can root zvk.

I used ota rootkeeper and all signs show that i am still rooted in zvk after ota.

I'm rooted Is there any steps I need to take before I update?
I'm supercharged.
Do I need to unfreeze the apps I have frozen?

I unfroze ask of my apps. A I mentioned in the other thread, I kept getting an error. I ended up lg flash tooling back to a clean zvi, rooting, ota root keepering then trading the ota. Then i just restored my tibu backups which i had redone before starting. Not perfect, but it works.

Well, it's what i did. As I said, I lost everything, however, TiBU helped me recoup most of it. Pain, but i am updated and rooted.

No. Leave it is a zip as extracting it brings it out of the format and they use a special tool to put it in the zip so if it's already unzipped you have to go redownload.
