I travel for work alot, and the places i go don't always have good service. I have a bunch of DVD's that I would like to copy to my phone. Is there an app or some way to do this. This way I can have some movies to watch durring my down time and don't have service to watch netflix

You can rip the DVD's using Handbrake, and just copy the ripped files onto your phone. You won't have too much space for large movies, however.
