gps off?

My wife just got the incredible yesterday (I've had mine for about 5 months and love it). On hers, I went into the "Navigation" app and a message pops up that says "GPS is disabled - show location settings?" I tap on "ok" and it shows that google location services and E911 are checked. What do you have to do to turn the GPS on so that this works?

Settings-->Location--> then make sure "Standalone GPS Services" and "Google Location Services" are both checked

Drop the stock Android "power control" widget on a screen and use that for a one touch on
and off for GPS before using navigation, etc
