STock email app not downloading messages

Note sure what happened but a few weeks ago (from original startup), the email app would download messages but not attachments. Recently and I don't know what changed, it is not downloading anything and requires manual download. Battery pull did nothing.
Download size is set to 100K.
Any ideas?

What are the file sizes you are trying to download? 100k is not very big. Increase the downloaded size and see if that fixed the problem.

Prior to noticing this, download size was set to 60K and worked fine. Most messages less than 50K. The only thing downloaded is the subject line.

I have had the same problem and the only way I could fix it was to delete the email accounts and then set them back up again. I have looked for another solution to no avail.

Update on this: Recreated email account and app works perfectly!
