What are the benefits of 4.03.605.2 beyond global. Really appreciate all the input from everyone here!

I have been running it since about a week after release... there are several fixes: Here's The Full Changelog Of HTC Rezound's 4.03.605.2 Update
In reality though, there are very few things I have noticed, here are a few... slightly improved battery life when in an area of excellent signal, with worse battery life when in rural areas with poor signal, Manually toggling WiFi or Mobile Data on/off causes occasional reboots or lockups, I have had one issue of the network "bootloop" where I had to pull the SIM to boot and manually toggle the Mobile Data mode to [something other than CDMA/LTE] then back to CDMA/LTE then reboot and replace SIM (never had this before). On the plus side, I have never seen another instance of data stall since going to it.
So in reality unless you are going overseas (or wish to experiment with AT&T/other SIMs), use Skype, or have lockup/data stall issues, there probably isn't much advantage to it at all, and on the downside unless Verizon/HTC happen to release this as an OTA ROM (unlikely), you will not get further OTA updates since it is not an official Verizon-supported ROM.
Just make sure that the file is in the Root directory of ext_sd and that it is named ph98img.zip (member to check for .zip.zip)
I'll be most likly at the casino that day but i'll have my phone on me if you need an assist.. wouldn't be the first time i have help flash over the phone most likly wont be the last lol
No, a factory reset won't change your firmware... in order to get the new OTA update you would either have to flash back to 3.14.605.12 (may require S-OFF, haven't tried it yet) or flash the new official RUU when it is released. If one does the flash and there is an OTA, could one do a factory reset to get the OTA?

The "data stall" issue is exactly that, it seems to be connected just no data flows, often time one data direction flow arrow just stays lit all the time then it after a few seconds to minutes it takes off on it's own...Acejavelin, this "data stall" you refer to - is it something like updating apps from the app store, and the download stalls even though all indications are that network connectivity is fine? I have that issue regularly, and the fix seems to be to stop the download and re-attempt the update...
Except for battery life, it is my only real Rezound complaint. (like many others, I have 3 standard batteries, an external battery charger, and regular chargers stashed in all of my regular haunts...)

Cool... give it a shot, to me it has had more positives than negatives, but remember that installing this will do a complete factory wipe of your phone, so plan accordingly! Thanks - maybe I need to flash the global RUU over Thanksgiving and see if that helps...

i have trouble keeping Google location service running on this. i have had to reflash the. 02 file multiple times, due to factory resets not working

I installed this yesterday and so far so good. Only thing I have noticed is the stock and dolphin browsers will stop loading. But if you touch the screen they finish. I'll play more and see if I find what Ace found.
How is battery life a few days in? What is your usage? I am thinking about taking the plunge today.

Ok, I went for it. All apps are installing right now. Will report my findings. Thanks much to all for your input and assistance.

If they would only build a 4g tower close by I could cancel my Cable, and just tether all day.
