Wifi download speeds 0.5 Mbps

Here is a strange one.

When I connect my Thunderbolt to my home router (Linksys WRT310N) my download speed drops to 0.5 Mbps but my upload speeds are normal. I've tested the download speeds on my OG Droid it got normal download speeds for the wireless network in my house. I tested some other wireless components in my house and they are worked fine as well. So I borrowed a friends Droid Inc and it had the same issues as my Thunderbolt. I guess there is something about the Wifi hardware in the HTC phones that doesn't work with my Linksys router. I have to assume it is the wireless N draft that my router uses which does not play nicely with the wireless N draft in my phone.

I guess I'll be buying a new Router, can anyone recommend a good home router that they know works with the Thunderbolt?

Good news!

I fixed it. It turns out the Wireless Security on the router was to blame. When I had the router set to WPA2 Personal we had the problem but when I set it took the security down to WPA thinks magically fixed themselves.
